Bunting got 5 and a game for elbow to the head of Cernak (suspended 3 games)

If I had to guess, I'd say that it was an intentional hit that Bunting tried to make look accidental.

The immediate look around for an arm in the air is what tips it for me. Also the fact that Bunting has no reason to be going that direction at the time. The puck is already behind him to the right when contact as made.

I can't tell intent, but it's a really, really bad hit any way you slice it. At least 2 games and I'm not going to be mad if it's (even significantly) more.

Looks like a mistimed shoulder to shoulder check rather than aiming for the head Torres/Marchand style. Of course he's gonna look at the ref once he realizes he hit Cernak's head, if he was aiming for it the whole way he'd just play it off as nothing happened. 5 and a game would be fair imo.

Looked like he did what Torres used to do and got payback on a guy who had hit him just a little while before with an ugly headshot. The major was warranted as will the suspension.
