No, certainly not, but he forechecks very well, and Kreider and Zibanejad are in dire need of it for the time being. Hunt whiffed on a Zib feed, and Kreider came close on a deflection attempt after Hunt was inserted there. The three of them had zone time instead of the pair's usual dump-and-dones.

not trying to pile on mika, not about picking on him, made a great look to end the game.
but not unfair to say he's not doing enough right now. he's absolutely capable of turning it around. he hasn't been awful, he's been playing well defensively and done his job on pk. but he's our #1 center and his line is not generating almost any offense 5 on 5. sure there's been a revolving door on one wing but he's got a red hot kreider on the other. he's not doing enough to drive play or create in the role he's playing. i'm sure there's some people getting carried away but its not making him a whipping boy to say we need more from him.
tinordi made one of the more remarkably dumb plays i've ever seen just going the wrong way on the hinestroza goal. not even like he got turned, he just chose to defend the boards and hand over the middle. he's been functional so far but that was so bad its hard to imagine we see him anytime soon if ever.
georgiev wasn't necessarily horrible with what went in but at the same time he just never seems to not get lit up. he's gotta go. its just time.
love what we got from the kid line...they're buzzing and creating.
kakko is becoming a monster and its awesome to watch...he's taking over the ice on the puck.

Zib made a great pass, I don't dispute that, but he was too high on the play while Kreider and Goodrow were mucking on the end wall. Kreider's pass wasn't going to get to Zib had Fox not provided the extra bridge play there.

I think he kinda needs to slow it down just a tad at that last moment when he's about to shoot his load on plays. That goes for both scoring and passing. He's flubbing the pass when there is a golden opportunity to feed someone open.

Kinkaid has looked good in hartford. Seems like the obvious move IMO
Also confused why wouldn't he start vs the one team he plays ok against wed? Start Shesty tonight and against Boston. Now what they start AG again on Boston because Shesty needs to rest after wednesday?

his brain and hands are always lagging behind. I dont know if he can help mitigate it somewhat, but that's what would inhibit him from being a top center.
Georgie's save percentage this game before he got pulled was .778. He is not even a good AHL goalie. He needs to go. I am pretty sure they tried to trade him this off season and there were no takers.
Tinordi needs to be sent to Hartford. Bring up Jones and let him rotate with Nils. Jones has looked really good in Hartford.

Looking at the play, it's all Fox, tbh. Zib was standing stationary and Olofsson was right next to him. Kreider moves the puck out of the scrum but it wasn't even going to Mika. It was going wide and Mika would've had to reach for it to his right. But Fox cuts in there to take the pass, Olofsson then has to go down to protect against a crossice feed to Lindgren who has cut in, Olofsson is down and out of the play for Mika to then feed Lindgren.

They will come out like it’s game 7 of the Cup Final as they always do against us but none more important than Wednesday Thanksgiving eve in their new building dying for a win.
