Guessing Quick and Bishop will be splitting games in Alberta. They need four points on that set of back-to-backs.

Yeah man, I think STL is rallying together due to the loss of Shattenkirk, but I hope they fall on their faces sooner, rather than later.

We need all the points. :yo:

All your points are belong to us! :D

Kempe needs to watch more Kopitar game tape.

Doesn't he know he is supposed to enter the zone with speed, skate behind the net, and pass the puck to the point?

I was reading an article about him and he said he's watching all of Carter's goals and is taking notes how he scores. I was like thank goodness he's not watching Kopis highlights

We won!

Hope is alive (barely).

That's awesome that he's studying the game and not just living off his talent alone.

What highlights?

There were a few who wanted Kempe at the start of the year.

I was in that camp. I'm just glad he wasn't completely overlooked and left in the minors to stagnate. I'm sure some thought that his numbers in the AHL weren't good enough for a call up, but he's showing those people wrong, for now at least. Hope we get to see Brodzinski soon as well.

very possible but i don't recall seeing anyone asking for him during the season thATS where i was alone imo I just thought his game translated better to nhl then ahl

Plenty wanted him up. We didn't want to see Dwight King or Setoguchi or Purcell, but that's the Kings for ya. Gotta always have useless vets like Ethan Moreau or Trent Hunter around. They like to go against evolution for some reason.

I agree that I hope we see Brodz soon too. He deserves a cup of coffee, and we need another shot of players who haven't yet been brainwashed.

I was one that said Kempe wasn't ready at the beginning of the year and I stand by it. I'm glad those guys got an additional half season in the minors learning because they look almost fully prepared now. Could have easily derailed them if we had to lean on them with no other options at the beginning of the year. For anyone who actually watched Ontario, most will agree with me--LaDue in particular was having concerns. Kempe was just uber-inconsistent but we knew the offense was there and I agreed that I thought his game was better suited to the 'flow' of the NHL.

So glad that DL didn't cave in and give up Kempe or Ladue in any deals.
They were reportedly the 2 most sought after.

Watched that goal at least 5 times and so much to love about it.
He really had a burst of speed in the zone and got a decent, deceptive shot off...
and he then darts around the net and instead of going to the net, or slot low,
he goes WAY up, where no one would / could / should follow him up there, 40 feet from the net...but he cuts sharp up high and moves back in at the top of the circle and
he's totally open...Doughty hits him near the faceoff dot and he rifles it. Speed and skill kills. I'm going to watch it a few more times. I think he can freely do stuff like that every game and start racking up goals...as long as his linemates look for him...they need to know he can look out of the play and be open in a second.

Iggy is built like a brick **** house. He has another year left. Would love to sign him cheap, but if he wants to play another year, someone will offer him more.

Agreed. Thank goodness those two are still here. And Kempe not only has speed, but TAKES the ice from players. A lot of guys go up the wing and stop at contact, he's charging it like a running back hitting a hole. It's so refreshing after this year of watching mentally and physically beaten down players just shy off.

Not a fan of Rosen's call tonight. For interviews after the game I think he's more than fine, but there's something about him and Foxy that are just so... similar.

Not sure if the word I'm looking for is high strung; Bob Miller just balanced out Foxy to a T. On the other hand, Ralph Strangis filled in nicely.

Now, Foxy doing the play by play like he did one time back a few years ago... eek!:amazed:
