Lots of guys get the "one more injury and he's done" tag, yet play well for years.
Let's hope Norris holds up.

How aboutMy opinion of Josh Norris with hinge almost entirely on what jersey number he selects. Previously has worn 9 and 14, obviously both are out.
Additionally - I need to work on a new Username.
Crosby and KarlssonJeff Skinner had all those concussions early on in his career and then never got hurt for like 10 straight seasons. Let's hope we get a run like that from Norris.
What about his defense and PP? Our problem is not scoring goals 5vs5, we are very good there, but our forwards are not very good in defense and two-way game, and PP also needs to improve.Norris has a total of 12 5v5 points this year while playing mostly with Batherson & Tkachuk... His points/60 rate of 1.14 puts him between Quinn and Malenstyn on our team, and just below noted offensive dynamos Dennis Gilbert and Peyton Krebs.

(I will get back to being positive eventually, but the snark is strong right now)
In my 50 years of watching the Sabres, I would say he has been the most infuriating player. I really can't think of another. Maybe Ristolainen???Subtracting the zero-IQ play killing of Cozens should reverberate positive impacts throughout the lineup.
He played the game the wrong way the last two seasons. Maybe he can change that in Ottawa, maybe not.
But he was a truly infuriating player to root for.
Justin Williams career was thought to be over and then he was moved to the KingsLots of guys get the "one more injury and he's done" tag, yet play well for years.

This could be a funny shoulder line.Tuch and Greenway both had bad shoulder injuries and they are fine now.
Much hinges on Norris’ health.I loved cozens and wanted him to work but it was time. Wish we could’ve tried him on wing but I think this trade makes sense. If Norris can be a decent 2C, it’s a win. Cozens wasn’t going to be that
I think it is pretty obvious that the Sabres powerplay lacks players with creativity that create time and space on the ice. They have a ton of finishers that can shoot the puck. Ottawa has a lot of creative guys in Stutzle, Giroux, and Batherson for Norris to play with on the PP. Long story short, Norris is going to bring a lot of what the Sabres already have on their PP, so I do not believe he is going to be quite the PP savior that a lot of stat watchers who see his PP points believe he will be.What about his defense and PP? Exactly. I don't question Norris' ability, its his availability..Much hinges on Norris’ health.
Well, I think it will help on PP, especially in contrast to Cozens. That doesn't mean we can't add a playmaker, but I think Norris fits us well as a player overall.I think it is pretty obvious that the Sabres powerplay lacks players with creativity that create time and space on the ice. Norris wins puck battles once in a while and in the top 6. We currently don't really have that. Could go a long way on the PP, even if he isn't actually productive himself.I think it is pretty obvious that the Sabres powerplay lacks players with creativity that create time and space on the ice. Well Norris has had 3 operations on his left shoulder in 5 years. Odds are he will hurt it again. Fingers crossed for him and the Sabres.Tuch and Greenway both had bad shoulder injuries and they are fine now.
