literally no one thinks this. eichel has the potential to be better than tavares in a few more years, but JT is absolutely the better player right now and there's not a single sane person who would disagree

Yes. Tavares is better now, but Eichel is impressive. I posted on the Sabres board after a Sabres/Isle game saying Eichel had been the best player on the ice.

Very impressive. Especially for a rookie.

Sure. Just tune in to Buffalo radio (WGR). This morning they were saying Eichel has one of the best shots in the NHL.

Odd, I was listening to that very show and not once did they mention Eichel being better than Tavares.

Best of luck to Okposo.

He is tight with Moulson. Okposo is the godfather to Moulson's son. Guessing that Moulson made a sales pitch, hyping the young Sabres talent and strong ownership.

Or perhaps Moulson is begging him to come to Buffalo and get his (Moulsons) career back on track. Don't know enough about Okposo, but if he plays a physical game like Lucic as has been said I worry the deal is a bit too long. Those guys break down all at once, no slow progression, just wake up one day and you're Clarkson.

I don't think the money was ever the issue, Snow was never comfortable giving him the term that he wanted. I think Garth held firm at 5 years and KO wanted at least 6 and probably 7.

Chardo said the isles had never even discussed an extension with Okposo and that is not true.

I do remember around the last TDL,Staple saying the stumbling block on an extension was term.

Okposo is NOT a power forward. He is a skill finesse forward who thinks he has more skill than he actually does. Blysma needs to get that idea out of his head because he is definitely more effective when he simplifies his game and uses his body - he's built like a brickhouse.

I thought that Okposo could change his game if he went somewhere like LA or St. Louis, but he ain't improving under Bylsma

Okposo needs a coach that is going to beat it out of his head that he's not a skill finesse forward. Capuano gave him gobs of ice time and #1PP time no matter how badly he was playing so he never changed - zero accountability. He's got some really bad habits and a strong coach could possibly set him straight and you get the best of what he has.

Okposo has played well with both JT and Frans Nielsen. He has moved between the top two lines.
I am curious to see which line he plays on, which center he plays with in Buffalo.

Moulson is the only guy who can get his career back on track, if anyone can.

For a guy that put up 64 points last year... I doubt he needs advice.

It will definitely be ROR. I think most Sabre fans are ready for the Vesey-Eichel-Reinhart line

Probably ROR, at least to start. Reinhart and Eichel were excellent together with Reino on the RW.

Don't worry, he doesn't. You'll want him to. You'll expect him to. You'll keep waiting until he does. He won't.

Just wait dude, you'll see what I'm talking about. Okposo will drive you crazy with his inconsistency, just like Kane does. Keep him away from Eichel, he'll never let him touch the puck.

How does a guy rack up 42 assists without giving up the puck?

I'm sure ill get frustrated with him... I get frustrated with all players.

OK, I'm watching the tsn free agency show and they were talking about him being one of the physical players signing long term deals. It was kind of worrying.

Can't believe how many Buffalo fans seem upset with this signing.. This was probably the best value signing of the day of all the major signings. Buffalo is by far the team least likely to regret the contract 3+ years from now, compared to all the other teams signing players to ****** contracts.

BUF fans will also quickly learn what the goalposts sound like. Okposto is good for 2 or 3 pings a game. Cartman is there every game--God dammit Kyle!
