I think he starts on O'Reilly's wing but if they switch it up to Jack, Reinhart can slot back with RoR again. More than any player on the team...Sam Reinhart can play with anybody.

With the Sabres coach, he'll play with everyone, possibily in the same night. Sabres changes line combos more often than some people change underwear.

I like the Sabres and that is why I'm saying this, don't get the champain too soon, Okposo is quite overrated by the HF boards.

He'd have been the leading scorer in Buffalo each of the last three seasons and he's going to be asked to be their 4th best forward.

No problem man, it's all good.

Oh yeah, one last thing about Okposo... he's money on SO's. Not Frans Nielsen level money (no one is), but still money. :)

This is probably an underrated part of the signing, but god knows we need all the help we can get when it comes to shootouts

In a couple years we can have Okposo and Nylander in 2 of the 3 SO slots and maybe win one for a change lol

Sabres are going to be a really solid team. If everything pans out, the Atlantic division looks like it's gonna be pretty good with Florida, Toronto, Buffalo and Tampa Bay all looking like they have pretty bright futures.

Maybe JT was the $12 million player Murray was talking about, not Stamkos. Hmm wonder if he would come watch uncle John play at the arena and maybe had a conversation or 2.

JT was the ball boy for the Bandits for a couple years.

Yeah term is a year to long, but happy with the cap hit and he fits into our team perfectly. He gets to choose which center to play with ROR or Eichel. :yo:

Put him with R'OR, much better match. Keep him away from Eichel at ES, he has a tendency to hog the puck and completely neuter/disregard his linemates as a result. He's also quite brutal defensively.

Thanks! I think Kane/ROR/Okposo take the 1st line with Reinhart/Eichel/(Girgs/Vesey) on the 2nd.

And if we get 2 better wingers from now till then, worst case scenario is young players in the top 6 on ELCS or bridge deals, and Okposo as a third liner. We could theoretically have a third line of overpaid vets at some point that looks like Ennis-ROR-Okposo all around 32-34

Why do so many players like to switch New York teams? Vanek went from Buffalo to Islanders, Moulson from Islanders to Buffalo and now Okposo from Islanders to Buffalo.

Well Vanek and Moulson had no choice... they were traded ... (tho Moulson re-signed)

Maybe they enjoy losing 20% of what they earn to state taxes every year? The great thing about New York is you can live 350 miles west of New York City and you still have to pay New York State's ridiculous taxes which mostly get funneled back into New York City.
