Post-Game Talk: Bruins @ Rangers: Game ThrLOLee

They were responsible for both goals.

I was more making a statement than referring to what you said, lol.

Pyatt is pretty mediocre too.

Horrible replacement for Dubi/Feds/Prust

LOVE Asham on the 4th though.

Id be looking to shake up this roster next year. Keep Nash, Step, Brassard, Hagelin, Cally, and MCD, everyone else is available for the right move.

Pyatt is on our third line.:cry:

Actually, I love what he's done in the playoffs thus far. He's been very good, IMO. I'm fine with him if he's going to bring it like this in the post season.

It flat out hurt when NBC showed a montage of Boston getting the puck to the middle of the ice to counteract our stupid ass forecheck

Pyatt is a guy you want on your team come playoffs. Same as Brian Boyle.

Oilers are't trading Hall.

NO WAY.

He is going to be an elite player — he is already, really.

It would take McDonagh + something else. No thanks on that.

Girardi + Del Zotto?

I don't see how Edmonton balks at that when they have **** for defense and a question mark for a goalie.

No LeCavalier, talk about the poster child of NYR's fault line of stupid acquisitions. There are a few select players who may be available, but again, what happens to them on this team? Do they suddenly go from looking like a player in their early '30's contributing with their smarts, experience and skill, to a tired looking, out of place misfit?
I'm not even kidding when I say that this could happen to a Marian Hossa if he joined the Rangers.

Edit: Oh yeah, thought I should add that many posters here are way too obssessed with age of a player, and dismiss any over 30. Very silly to not realize what the right, talented player like that can add in the right atmosphere. It can be invaluable.

Because you don't trade the best player on your team to supplement another area.

They would trade Eberle/Yakupov for offensive help before Hall. Those players ain't chumps.

They have Eberle, Hopkins, and Yakupov.

I see Hall as being expendable.

An adjustment that needed to be made early and was never made, but this team needs a plan B when the forecheck isn't effective against big mobile teams like Boston. How often do we dump it in, lose the race or get out muscled and they break out? A gabillion?

Part of this is me being tired of watching this system but I'd really like to see a new coach come in, I don't mind Torts but I think the team has changed too much for his system to be effective. He should just let them loose in game four, way too much talent on this roster to have all four lines dumping and chasing.

It's sad that the Bruins fourth line has more creativity than any of our lines.

They have Eberle, Hopkins, and Yakupov.

Hall started it all for them though, and is more or less their franchise guy.

Well I guess you can say the same with Edmonton's perspective.

Trade McDonagh for Sam Gagner, the Rangers have **** for offense.

Except, we would be trading two players to one. If they want McD, then they have to give us Hall.

I don't think Asham, Powe and Pyatt are bad replacements for Mitchell, Prust and Fedotenko. I think we had the same issue last year. 3 lines to play, not 4. We lost to NJ in the conf. finals because they had 12 players up to the challenge, Boston will beat us this year because of the exact same reason.

Greg Campbell has turned into a nice 4th liner for the Bruins. He scored 13 goals for them in 2010-11 and then puts up a 16 point campaign for them last year, ends up signing a 3-year deal for $1.6 mil per.

Ex-Ranger Prust put up nearly identical numbers to Campbell (13 goals in 2010-11 and then 17 points last year), and then demands a multi-year contract of $2.2 mil per at the very least. Is there something in the water in NY that gives these players such entitlement?

Boston has a very effective, cost-controlled fourth line. I don't even think that's in the realm of possibility of happening here.

What a bummer.

Very disappointing.

This team just doesn't have it, and it really sucks for Hank. Whatever.

Part of me feels like you should live and die by Richards and at least let him fail instead of protecting him from it.

I'd trade McDonagh for Hall any day of the week.

Eh.

Value wise it's fair. I don't think it makes much sense for either side, though. They should be content with the players they have.

Would love to get Eberle for DZ, but Eberle's salary...yikes.
