I'm not sure where he really fits, but his best chance is to come over for one more go-around this up-coming season and competing for a spot.

He played well under Cassidy. I'm sure Bruce wouldn't give up on him after one shift either. It makes sense if there is mutual interest to have him come back over. His production in the KHL this season is hard to not take seriously.

I would bring him back I saw him tons in Providence and liked his tenacity and never give up approach

I'd say it more likely then less likely he's back with Boston and much better then Soderberg ever was

Hmm....Some are under the impression here that he's a typical Russian who lacks any heart or grit. Tenacity and never give up approach? Are you sure haha

I'd say it more likely then less likely he's back with Boston and much better then Soderberg ever was

He was a very active player - good decisions, good stick, played low went after loose pucks to get them.

He's 23 or 24 not necessarily over the hill

I would have no problem if he played for Boston tomorrow

Bottom he was good 2 years ago and when he comes back he will be better and I believe maturity- Sweeney really liked him from what I heard and Khokhlachev didn't think Claude liked him

It makes a lot of sense to me

Vakanainen good at getting pucks through to the net in the first period. Finns reeling a bit though, Canada is quick

I was underhelmed by both UV and Koppanen. Although UV played alot and skates well he is like Brandon Carlo in that he plays it safe doesn't seem to do much on offense. Koppanen also got lots of ice time but seemed to be the kind of player that blends in rather doing anything to stand out. I'm not knocking defensive players with the way hockey is played now you need to be active on both sides of the puck. Both the Finns and Canada looked good and I'm sure will go along way in this tournament. This Canadian says their first goal should not have counted. Looking forward to a great week of hockey and excited to see all our future Bruins in action.

They both were very boring. Kopp is more of a PK guy, kinda slow. Urho was ok but was in tough today. Much better in the USA game. Lindgren looks smooth so far, Frederic may just be a checker with this line up, we shall see.

I’m not comparing Frederic to Bergeron, but on Team Canada, 37 is a defensive specialist and PK guy. Doesn’t mean that’s all he’s got in his repertoire.

Dominating/looking good in this tournament is usually a good precursor. There are obvious exceptions but generally cream rises.

I really REALLY wanted Robert Thomas with that 1st round pick... I was all over that guy last season and followed him week to week ( something I rarely do with undrafted prospects ) and I did my best to light the candle for him here. I think a lot of teams missed the boat on Thomas, Bruins included.

I think UV is a luxury for us at this point since we are deep in defensive prospects/young players from the top of the pro level down to the developmental leagues. I don't care what he looks like now, but in about two years, I'm going to start paying more attention.

didn`t notice Koppanen much but sure did with UV. I`m not sure offense is his thing based on only the info I read/heard/watched on him during the draft. What I was looking for vs a very fast TC was, can he keep up, will he get left in the dust or find himself overwhelmed. I couldn`t check any of those boxes, really like his composure back there. First time I`ve seen him play, liked his game

Soderberg didn't come in the summer. He came during the season.
