BOSTON - Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney issued the following update on defenseman Brandon Carlo:
Brandon sustained a fracture to his left ankle and is scheduled to have the fracture repaired later this week by Dr. George Theodore of MGH. He will miss the rest of the regular season and playoffs. Expected recovery time is 3-4 months.

All I got to say is OMG

it's Executive.

Yep, so it is. Clap clap clap, good for you.

Lol, Kidding bud. Bruins management would of cleaned up if not for Vegas. But in all fairness, what the Knights have done this season has never been done before and will be a long long time before any other team does it IF it's ever done again. Just making the playoffs would of took a miracle but to be top 5 in the league and finishing season with around 110 and winning a very very tough division is, well just unheard of for sake of a better word. Really too much to believe but there it is..

I’d like Cassidy to give Krug and Marchand the last two games off. Krug in particular could use a few extra days to re-group. That’s not a critique of Krug’s play, it’s just that he looks worn down.

Marchand also appears a bit tired. It might be mental as much as physical but I think that both could use a bit of a blow before the playoffs begin.

Marchand has had time of this year with suspension,Brad really hasn’t done much in the playoffs since 2011 man I hope we see a different Marchand this year.

I think that even if Marchand has had time off due to suspensions he hasn't had stress free time off. He idles very high and that, over months of intesity is extremely wearing. Being the bad-boy in junior high school back in the seventies I can tell you that first hand. I don't know the answer but I can say that it's a world of turmoil where (when you're "that" guy) you percolate and stir and self defeat.

Unfortunetly with Brad teams can do pretty much anything to him and not get penalized,I guess he has brought it on himself,it’s too bad can you imagine even how much more points he could get if the refs didn’t all hate him.

Exactly. Mentally he is spinning. I feel for him. He isn't a nasty guy but he comes off that way. It can not be easy.

BTW: I get as frustrated with him as anyone, he is annoying and frustrating. You think if he just used his God given talent and didn't act up he wouldn't be where he is (in trouble and villainized) but that's a discussion for another time I guess.

I look at it different, it’s all of that commotion that makes Marchand go. For his own mental health I hope that he can turn it off when away from the rink. However, when the puck drops I want him full tilt boogie. Once the playoffs start I want him to “let it go” and be his ratty, nasty awesome self.
