I'd prefer to see Franky Boo in over Murray, but it's not what is going to win or lose us the game. WE need Patches & Vanek to get going. I think they will, they were pretty good at home just couldn't score. If there was ever a time...

Vanek needs to stop drinking his invisible juice and stop sharing it with Max Patches.

They both need to drink some of this:

When Murray is on the ice it kills everyone who's with him. That includes Max and Vanek. We basically spot the other team 15 mins of icetime in our zone.

Yes it ****ing matters. And yes it can and has lost us games.

It doesn't matter who plays 6th D, if our forwards don't show up. We can't rely on our PP to save our a$$, boys need to do some work 5 on 5. I'm expecting a strong game from the team, and hopefully we get a bit lucky.

I'm not ready for this journey to end tonight. Not even one bit. Fans deserve a 7th game, I hope the team can give us one. GHG!

^ 1000x this.

Therrien's coaching of this team, all year long, has just been infuriating. He plays head games with Subban all year. Leaves Briere to rot on the 4th line while giving DD every prime opportunity possible. Comes down hard on Eller time & time again. Plays Bouillon + Murray, relics who are soon headed to retirement, over Tinordi + Beaulieu, talented prospects who are our immediate future. Has the whole team play a stupid, dump-and-chase game instead a fast, puck-possession game. Finally finds some success against the Bolts and even has us in good shape against the Bruins, then starts undoing all the good he's done with more moronic lineup & deployment decisions.

The guy's like a blind squirrel. He'll find a nut once in a while, but really doesn't seem to know how he does it. We won't win a Cup with this clown behind our bench.

If the lineup tonight includes Murray + Prust again, we're done :(

I don't know what you are on about? MT is a genius anyone at RDS can tell you that.
The worse part is there are moronic fans who actually believe this.
He has pissed me off coaching to stroke his own EGO and pandering to the press.
Lot's of smoke signals this year the club did an excellent job putting out fires.
The icing on the cake for me is this.
At no point this year can I credit him for a move that made us a better club.
The improvements we have seen seem to be individual players working through their own demons or additions thanks to the GM. Thank you Stephane Waite.

It does matter.

When that 6th blueliner is on the ice he directly impacts how the forwards will play. If Max is on with Murray, he's going to waste a lot of time in his own zone.

Reffing really hasn't been an issue this series, so it doesn't matter too much. In fact, I wouldn't be shocked if we got a few extra favourable calls tonight to try to push a Game #7. Same with how the Rags got a few extra PP's last night (although they did nothing with them).

I actually loved the reffing in Game #3 and Game #4 .. and Tim Peel was one of those refs. So I really can't complain right now.

It matters to a certain extent, yes, but if we lose this series I'm not going to be the one persecuting Murray. He deserves his fair share of blame but what will ultimately have sunk this team is the complete no show of (most) our top 6 forwards. Their production during this series, and even against Tampa, has been a joke.

I did as well. Game 5 refs were horrible. Way too many damn calls in the first. Killed a lot of flow to the game... and then 0-3 happened.

Not as pessimistic as most posters here. Habs with narrow win and another narrow game 7 win.

Won't be mad if we lose to an excellent team. The silver lining is that this series has exposed some players who might have been in MB's plans going forward. Nothing like adversity to properly evaluate a team.

1. I'm not drinking tonight. The past two games I had beer before the game and the Habs lost.

2. If it goes to OT, I'll probably go to bed as I have to wake up at 5:20 tomorrow morning.

It's been a close series against one of the best defensive teams in the league. When you spot them a quarter of the game in your own zone, its going to kill you (and your forwards.)

I don't blame Murray if we lose this series either btw. And you're absolutely right that Max and Vanek have been mostly shut down in this series. But the Bruins are hard enough to beat with your best lineup iced. When you don't... it's a lot harder. You take what was already a tall order to begin with and make it harder on yourself.

Maybe we'll pull it out and win this series. Maybe we'll lose. If we do lose though, we won't have lost with our best lineup and that's the real killer for me. We played inferior players who've hurt us and to an extent beat ourselves in some of these losses. Frustrating to say the least.

O'Halloran is a good Irish name.

Interesting that we haven't had a "biased" Québécois referee in this series yet.

But we did have the Boston bred ref a couple of games ago. Habs need to win in spite of the referees who will probably "let them play" tonight.
