I find the noise level is off the charts in the rink with all the dumb music blasting at every opportunity.

Not to mention the enjoying voice of the girl doing promo's

I am old so I get to complain about these minor things lololol

It is awful.

As for the song, current is fine or anything that motivates the crowd. None of the nonsense like Toronto's last one. Not for a sports celebration.

I mean I would love if their goal song was “Caves of Altamira” by Steely Dan because it’s my favorite song of my favorite band, but I also realize that it isn’t going to happen. And there’s plenty of good music out these days - the Top 40 in the 70s had artists like Barry Manilow and Captain and Tenille all over the place too.

What’s wrong with the goal song? So what if they’ve been using it for 20 years? Like it or not it’s become a tradition.

And what are they going to replace it with anyway? In my opinion, at this point, nothing else would sound right. The paying customers at the Garden seem to like it well enough.

With the new era of the bruins upon us I agree with others that the current song should be new as well.

Not like the song has any special connections to New England or the Boston area. It’s not an iconic song from a known band.

No need to keep trotting it out

I’d rather not have a song sung by a guy who talked about getting guardianship over a 16 year old so he could take her on tour with him.

Maybe that’s just me

I wish they'd bring back the train horn goal horn they had before the current fog horn sounding one

I'm fine with Zombie Nation it doesn't bother me.

Some thoughts though:

To go local (and annoy all the anti-Boston haters)

The chorus to Smash S^&r Up by Dropkick Murphys would work nicely, but is prolly a no due to mild profanity (even though the fans shout far worse at the game)

Trying to think of a Godsmack sound that isn't worse.

Love the idea of the Brass Bonanza, thought that was a great goal song, they stopped using it in Hartford when Brian Burke took over.

Brass Bonanza is all kinds of wonderful, but it's still too attached to the Whalers for the Bruins to use it - the Canes still trot it out every now and then when they wear the old green uniforms. Plus it's the sound of a certain era that probably wouldn't work full-time in 2023. One of the great goal songs though.

Agreed.

It was a fun, New England novelty when the Red Sox started trotting it out.

It’s not for the Bruins.

Yeah can definitely understand why the Bruins would not use it, especailly as you say it was known as the Whalers song.
