That's just how it is... I said bottom 7 heading into the season...that's where well well l end up.
if we end up 7th we will be lucky at this point. Gorton hopefully can find a good deal for zucc and hayes sooner rather than later.

You guys have to stop worrying about not tanking enough. They're going to lose a shitload of games once Hayes, Zucc and McQuaid are gone. Ryan Strome 2c, Vesey top 6 and Pionk top pair. We'll win less than 5 games after the trade deadline.

Tonight was an exciting game. Also it was 3-1 going into the 3rd and they came back and tied one of the top teams in the league and beat them in the shootout after playing an electrifying overtime. Chytil had the tying goal in the 3rd. This is entertainment in the end of the day and that was a fun game and if I'm going to pick a game to get the extra point I'd WAY rather it be the 3-1 3rd period comeback vs Boston where we arguably outplayed them, than a game where we get shitpumped all night and then win a game we have no business of being in.

i dont understand worrying about the draft pick at game 50. all it does is make you unhappy.

they'll suck plenty post TDL
Just because inevitably these points will make a difference come the end of the season just like last season. For example, we are now 7 ahead of the devils. that means the devils need to outpoint us by 7/8 points the rest of the way. In the day of three point games thats not so easy.

I see where you're coming from. If the kids contribute then its all cool with me as well. I wish we could have it both ways where the kids play great/score and we can get a super high pick but it probably doesn't work that way.
Unfortunately, that’s how the NHL works. If your kids are playing well, you don’t “need” a high pick.

DeAngelo is what everyone wants: a pair of brass balls attached to a good hockey player.

Let him be.
Young, high skill, finally seems to be figuring it out. Plus he has tons of swagger and is a pest. As long as he's smart and doesn't take a lot of bad penalties because of his attitude or whatever, I have a lot of time for a chirpy pest with personality like him when he's playing well like he is.

Okay FLUFFIER? Does this make it a +4, or a +2? Did we deserve this win that we didn't NEED?
Even you would have to admit that was a fun game to watch, oh and Milbury was just icing on the cake.
To quote Clint Eastwood “deserve’s got nothing to do with it.” Fun game to watch yes but in the grand scheme of things it’s a useless 2 points. It just hurts our chances at a top draft pick. I’m tired of mediocrity. 1 Cup in 80 years. Woohoo we won an entertaining game great, I want elite talent like Pettersson not bottom 6ers like Lias Malhotra

I think we still finish just outside the top 5 where there will be some really good players available

You know how you make up for not getting a top 3 pick? Getting 3 first round picks in two consecutive years and not ****ing it up. We did well last year... now do it again
Maybe you should hang out on roster building thread or other teams boards instead of Rangers GDT’s if you want them to lose so badly

Edit: I replied to the wrong person lol sorry

I am in that camp as well. Grab another 3 first rounders this year but then we still have to hear the negative nancy's say it won't ever matter if we don't get an elite top 2 pick type of guy
