I think it does. A #1 defenseman is crucial to a team’s succeess. And they are not easy to get, and even harder to draft and develop.

If you’re expecting Skjei to be a #1 Dman, you’re courting failure.

Vesey has never been afraid to get involved. If he can add that to his unimpressive but tolerable game, that would be good.

There was a game recently where I had said that Vesey doesn't like to lose, but was referencing him being a wannabe tough ass. He has ALWAYS gotten in the middle of things, and has initiated many instances in where he didn't "appreciate" someone hitting him, slashed at the legs or a facepalm, etc.
Thats what I meant, but someone laughed at me.

He wasn't? I mean he didn't steal the game so I guess that counts.

Every goal he gave up was a pretty damn good scoring chance.

I’m not expecting him to be a #1 defenseman. I expect him to be a #2/3 if he continues to play like this, but there’s still a very small chance he can become a #1. Either way, top pairing defensemen are hard to find obviously.
