There is going to be a quality healthy scratch on both forwards and defense come playoff time. This team is deeeeeep
I worry when we get to the playoffs and have (God forbid) 2-3 injured D. But, the way the defensemen go about retrieving pucks
behind the B's net is noticeably different than under Cassidy IMO. Cassidy had them doing it the same way
no matter the hammering they took. Monty has changed how the defense retrieves and moves the puck along the boards.
The whole (hockey) world was aware of how foolish it was to approach the puck with your back to the play along the boards. Monty (IMO) did something about it.

Today’s Globe:

Hall in good form

Taylor Hall (lower body) went at near full speed wearing a red noncontact sweater during a 20-minute practice at Warrior Arena. “He looks really good,” Montgomery said. “He’s skating out there, he’s flying. I know there’s some more steps that have to happen but he does look good.” Nick Foligno (lower body) took a scheduled off day.

Thanks Wally! Good news indeed. Hope Nick makes it back. His leadership would be a plus.

Still missing

Veterans Taylor Hall, Nick Foligno, and Derek Forbort all remained out of the lineup. None of them are expected to return soon, according to Montgomery. “They’re all doing well,” said the coach. “We don’t have a timeline as to when they might be back.” Hall has been the most active of three and has participated in a couple of the club’s workouts, albeit while wearing a red (non-contact) sweater. Asked if Hall were the closest to return of the three, Montgomery added, “Not that I’m aware of” . . .

I swear that's an annual thing for Lauko - go into the boards weird with the collision looking like pure body horror.

Then he takes a game off and is back like nothing happened. There was one in Providence a couple years ago that we all swore was the world's easiest ACL diagnosis, even with grainy ass PBruins broadcast. Not even sure he took a precautionary game off.

Gumby ligaments.
