Bummer. He would have been great depth.

However I guess contract flexibility is always still nice and we will need some spots open to potentially move Ritchie or chase after some NCAA UFA's. We could use a solid spare center in the organization right now though.

Honestly, I really don't think Jets MGT did this to spike the Leafs. BC if I am the owner of the Jets, I would fire MGT just for doing that for no reason, since it costs the company money to pick up another player.

The Jets didn't claim Brooks 24-36 hours ago when he was first on waivers, so either they're being trolls or there's some kind of recent injury they're dealing with. So I assume Brooks will probably end up on waivers again and the Leafs will make another claim.

Copp was hurt Wednesday night and Perfetti last night. Ehlers is not close and David Gustafsson just was activated off of a long time on the IR and is getting some AHL time.

I also expect he's ready to return or he wouldn't be put on waivers in the first place by Vegas or the Leafs.
