I actually believe that if any other team did this he would have passed through lol

Did the Jets had lower waiver claim status than us? Why didn't they do that two days ago?

What are the odds that the Jets waive him, Leafs claim him then waive him only to be claimed again?

Brooks should get a sleeping bag for the airports.

Now why didn't they claim him last time?...

We know how much they love the Leafs, time to celebrate the waiver claim

Perfetti was injured last game. Could be legit pickup if he is inserted into their lineup. If not, they will eventually waive him and we'll claim him again and around and around he goes.

If there's any consolation prize from this, the Brooks wars that has haunted this board is officially over. A new common enemy has presented itself.

Bummer. He would have been great depth.

However I guess contract flexibility is always still nice and we will need some spots open to potentially move Ritchie or chase after some NCAA UFA's. We could use a solid spare center in the organization right now though.

they could have been thinking to and then decided not to. Maybe they got some new info on some of the injured players and are out longer than they thought.

things can change in 24 hours. You might be right and they’re doing this because they hate the leafs who knows.

Fair enough. Other than Calgary the out west teams piss me off lol.

If the Leafs waive Ritchie like 5 times, chances are a team will claim him
To my understanding once a player is waived & unclaimed, for a certain amount of time/games they're exempt from waivers when being sent down.

They should definitely give it another try though, especially before any trade.
