I don't think anyone actually believes the Jets did this to spite the Leafs.
I can't believe anyone would deny that they did. It couldn't possibly be more blatant.

Brooks hasn't played since December due to an undisclosed injury, so I'm sure Winnipeg had better options available to them if they just need a healthy bodyEhlers is already out, and just lost Copp and Perfetti last night.....

Now why didn't they claim him last time?...
We know how much they love the Leafs, time to celebrate the waiver claim
Perfetti was injured last game. Could be legit pickup if he is inserted into their lineup. If not, they will eventually waive him and we'll claim him again and around and around he goes.
Isn't Brooks injured right now?
...but thinking the Jets did this out of spite does? That is what has been posted but waiving injured players makes no sense.
they could have been thinking to and then decided not to. Maybe they got some new info on some of the injured players and are out longer than they thought.
things can change in 24 hours. You might be right and they’re doing this because they hate the leafs who knows.
To my understanding once a player is waived & unclaimed, for a certain amount of time/games they're exempt from waivers when being sent down.If the Leafs waive Ritchie like 5 times, chances are a team will claim him
Rack up those airmiles! What are the odds that the Jets waive him, Leafs claim him then waive him only to be claimed again?
Brooks should get a sleeping bag for the airports.
I'm sure he would prefer not to get waived but he would certainly be happy not to clear. If Brooks is still getting a nhl salary i don't think he cares how many times he gets waived lol
