If you watching the game you can clearly see this two teams dont give a f about this game, they just wanna play it off

Yeah. I'm sure that in the end, having that bronze medal is going to be a nice memory and every player will have that medal with the rest of their trophies at home. They will remember winning it as a positive. But it takes time. Right now, the loss from yesterday is clearly on top of their mind.

When Finns played for the Bronze in past Olympics, it was just as much about our team sending of Selanne to retirement than it was about the actual medal. So the effort/emotion level was different.

Isn't it just a world feed with one set of cameras and a single director?

IIHF provides a generic feed and then other networks have the option to add supplemental cameras. NHL Network reporter is doing interviews that are sent by broadband and inserted as needed.

Sweden's horrendous/indifferent record in WJC bronze games seems to be continuing.

1999 Slovakia - lost
2001 Canada - lost
2007 USA - lost
2010 Switzerland - won
2011 USA - lost
2015 Slovakia - lost
2016 USA - losing

Sweden's defensemen as a unit are having an embarrassing game.

Forwards are playing ok really, looking dangerous in the zone.

Fair enough! with the bronze in Olympics to honor Selänne he was an awesome player that made himself that beautiful tattoo flagg;)

It's 8:09 a.m. currently. Game started at 7. I woke up at 6 to go get some drinks and snacks before the game.

Aff! well i hop you will enjoy the gold medal game! think that game will be alot funnier!

Interesting. USA Hockey is shoulder height. I've had a coach try to argue with me about it because a particularly tall player once scored a good goal by deflecting the puck in from above crossbar height but below his shoulder so I gave the goal.

In europe the rule has been like that but its been at least 15 years, probably more.

USA Hockey is slow to change. I can understand the shoulder height standard for high sticks at least, because the rules are for all age classifications, and the younger kids are often short enough to where their shoulders are below the crossbar.

Faceoff locations are pretty dumb in USA Hockey though and we use the older goal crease rules where attacking players cannot precede the puck into the crease.

Yeah. I think YLE covers the cameras and distributes it to everyone. Or is that what you meant?

Actually, TSN have their own cameras and that feed (the "official" IIHF feed) is broadcasted worldwide. YLE have another setup at Hartwall and it's only broadcasted in Finland. The cameras for each company are mounted on different sides. It's actually smart because the ads are different on each side of the boards. Aside from the main cameras, they share the closeup ones I think, but with different directors.

That makes sense, I'm watching the TSN feed and the far side boards have ads on them for some brands I'm not sure would be relevant to advertise to the European viewers (Mobil On the Run, SportChek, Boston Pizza, Old El Paso, Expedia, and Telus).

That is my understanding as well. HNIC and NBC sometimes do the same thing in playoff games to get the targeted ads on the boards to the right country.

Shoulder for play, crossbar for legal goal. Been like that for a long time. So if the puck is played over the shoulder it is whistled down unless played by the other team. But it also has to be below crossbar for a legal goal.
