yes and no. I’d expect the second piece would be far better than a b prospect, late pick, and cap dump.Which is not way north of what Toffoli got, which is my point, I guess.

VC fans who like to play fantasy gm wont like me saying this. But i know some on our board are in agreement.
With that qualifying offer as a vc fan i dont know who would pay for him? Unless you want to take a big swing. Lets assume hes generous and agrees to a 6.5 million dollar deal. I still dont think hes worth that for what he brings, if hes not scoring goals theres just not much to his game. If toffoli is a comparable thats what a good/great contract looks like. Heck maybe if he would take 5 then i would say its a good deal.
Also interested to hopefully see how this plays out.
I actually really like this as a baseI’d move Boeser to Montreal in a deal around Romanov
I could see Arizona doing it as a morale move to keep guys like Keller/Schmaltz happy.
Ottawa is probably desperate to get anything going and is run by stupid people.
New Jersey is also probably desperate to get any sort of success.
Nobody ever wants to play in Winnipeg/Buffalo, and to have a player under control for a few seasons might be valuable.
Like, it's not the worst gamble for a crappy team with a lot of cap space. I don't think any legitimate contenders are going to acquire him though. My guess is that his reputation/value around the league is probably higher than it is within our own fanbase and organization, but it's tough to say.
Of course you do lol but it won't happenI actually really like this as a base
Totally agreeBoeser is a really good winger, but we are not trading our young core when we are rebuilding, don't make sense for us. Romanov is one of the only bright spot in Mtl this year. Not saying the deal is bad, but not a fit.
It’s fair value wise imo but Habs don’t have any young up and coming sure fire dmen like Romanov. Don’t want to make that same mistake with Sergachev (although Boeser>>Drouin and is proven)Of course you do lol but it won't happen
Keep dreaming that you’ll get him without himIt wasn't and never will be Schnieder
Yeah and that opens up a big hole at RD, No thanks with Vrana coming back we don't need Boeser.Maybe a deal around Filip Hronek? 24 Year old RHD for 24 year old winger. Wings have the cap and could add picks/prospects (not a first tho)
This would likely be a yes from LA, although I think the Kings would need Vancouver to take on an expiring contract (AA or Maatta) or retain. This is exactly the type of deal LA needs to make, they are loaded with right-shot defenseman and center prospects but lacking natural finishers on the wing, especially right shot ones. Boeser is also an RFA at the end, which is a bonus.
Both forwards are about even, IMO, Vilardi has a bit more upside but also has AAAA player downside, where as Kupari will have a role in the NHL but probably not a top 6 upside player.
I like Faber a lot, he'd be tough to lose but again with the RH d-man on the roster and in the system the Kings aren't going to have spots for all these guys.
Jeeesh Luc you just explained he was our MVP last year which i would agree with and now your gonna let him go for small 3rd pair pp guy and a 18-25 pick.I would do 1st + Lundqvist for Boeser
That being said, I feel other teams could give us a player that fits more ours needs (Defensive D-man)
True, But you get a ton of cap space also, So it's more of a bigger packageJeeesh Luc you just explained he was our MVP last year which i would agree with and now your gonna let him go for small 3rd pair pp guy and a 18-25 pick.
Good god are picks getting overrated here. pretty much a 90% chance we lose that deal
You sure you dont want to throw in a couple camp dumps too?Personally I would go for Faber/Spence/Grans and Vilardi/Kupari plus a 3rd
Still shouldn't lower the price though. Were not capped out and we could move on from othersTrue, But you get a ton of cap space also, So it's more of a bigger package

Aww that sucks, if I was a contending team, I would love to get Miller, he really impresses me.
Whats not to like about Miller, he is a better player than Boser...bigger, faster, meaner, can play all forward positions, good all round player...top 20 in scoring. Miller is the best forward on the potiential market at deadline. He is exactly the type of player teams want to add for cup run.
It would be a mistake but our fanbase is so damaged from Benning and 8yrs of horrible contracts that they are prepared to give away anything for picks if it might end up a possible overpayment.Feels like a mistake to trade Boeser

Brock was our MVP last year. Might as well line up and get Pettersson Demko and Hughes next
He has a career average 31 goals per 82. Is 24 yrs old was the MVP last year and has plenty of development runway ahead of him.Boeser makes the most sense to move to alleveiate the cap hell Benning left. No way the game he is playing is worth 7.5 + on next contract
He is slow, not particularly hard on the puck, has never scored 30 goals. I like Brock but i think he is over rated in Vancouver and has never taken the next step after his rookie year.
Since JT Miller to the Rangers was roughly gonna be Schnieder, 2023 1st, Chytil and a 2nd, I guess take out the 1st and 2nd and that may be pretty close to Brock Boeser to the Rangers kind of deal
