Saw the game. Losing Hutton is hurting us and Škarek who I thought could replace Varlamov next year can’t all of a sudden stop a beach ball. Really bad weekend.
Skarek shows flashes of being a good pro but right now he’s too inconsistent. It was the same problem Christopher Gibson had. They don’t bring a good game from start to start.

CRAP!!!

What are the chances that you get to hold your fate in your hand and you just keep shi§§ing the bed.

Who is on D right now?
Mike Cornell dressed today along with Paul LaDue. Wotherspoon returned yesterday and played again today. Then Helgeson, MVS and Bolduc as usual. Salo sat today after playing in Wilkes Barre yesterday.

Since I didn't see this game or yesterday's, I won't read anything into this.

Sounds like the team really needs Schneider and Hutton.

Skarek has shown enough to at least have hope for him next year. He was a non prospect coming into year and he has at least moved that up a little.

I remember Skarek was considered at the top of the goalie prospects during his draft year. Goalies take a lot of time to ripen. It's a good sign he has performed much better this year, consistency is the last thing to happen for youngsters.

I know I am picking stats out of the air but Holmstrom is now a point per game over a stretch of last 15 games this season

first 47 games 6 goals 13 assists
last 15 games 3 goals 15 assists.

Hoping he keeps it up.

People aren’t going to like this or some people won’t like it LOL but he is a lot like Bailey, he is willing to shoot a bit more and is very good along the boards as well but he plays a similar style.

Hopefully Lou doesn't pay Holmstrom an anchor of a contract like he paid Bailey.

We need a Swedish poster version of @Bones45 to rage on Holmstrom for his entire career...
That would apparently be Ben45. I looked it up on the internet.

Maybe Holmstrom being similar to Bailey will actually help expedite the departure of said Bailey. What do you think, Ben45?

Isn’t he a better skater than Bailey? I thought I read he was a good skater

Andy Andreoff scored today. So did Czarnik

And if you can find it, check out their third goal, short handed. One hell of an individual effort by Kyle “John” MacLean

If this was Jeopardy the answer would be:

Who are 3 Islander AHL players that have little chance of becoming an NHL regular?

Waiting for the Czarnik fans to chime in, in 3…2…1…

Bridgeport won the game they absolutely had to have. Kept pace with the Wolf Pack, who are percentage points ahead for the last playoff spot.

If it comes down to the B-Isles last game of the season, Bridgeport hosts Hartford.

The phantoms also fired 40 shots on net, and rang the iron 3 times. Bpt maybe a little lucky more than showed fortitude and willed to victory
