I haven’t seen much of them this year. Last game I attended was in November, so I thought I’d give them a look today. Not much has changed with them or the AHL in general. Not much consistency in the players. Last games of a B2B or a 3 in 3 weekend are always a little sloppier than most.I had to laugh when you mentioned the B-Islanders.
That’s the version of last year’s team that we’ve been seeing at Belmont all year.
Why are we clamoring over a 20 y/o wing in the AHL who is producing at half the rate of JJ Peterka, or Jakob Pelletier? Not exactly a burning issue, is it?
They used to say that big defensemen take time to develop. Not sure if analytics changed human biology, but I'm on board for patience.I forgot to give props to Samuel Bolduc today. He had a couple of different defense partners today because Thompson rolled 7D. He was solid throughout the game and joined a rush that led to extended O zone time in the 1st period.
Be patient with Bolduc. The final chapter hasn’t been written yet.
It doesn't change human biology and it doesn't alter age. Bolduc is a 22 year old defenseman whose pro career consists of 64 AHL games. Ashpet! They used to say that big defensemen take time to develop. Not sure if analytics changed human biology, but I'm on board for patience.
Well he’s scored at the same pace in the AHL as Wahlstrom and is a better NZ and DZ player than him. So that could be one reason.
Wahlstrom is better in the offensive zone but the rest of his game is not as good.
The difference right now is that Wahlstrom has NHL ready size whereas Holmstrom does not.

According to HockeyDB he's Height 6.02 -- Weight 202 [188 cm/92 kg]
He has made a ton of progress this year, honestly last year counts for nothing and year before he was 18 playing in North America on bad Ahl team so he is really just hitting stride. He is going to play here we just need to give him time, maybe next year at some point he is ready to contribute a bit at NHL level.Any eye test reports on how Holmstrom is progressing? Not so interested in stats wise, more so is he close to being NHL ready?
Robin Salo - not a Bridgeport guy.
Does Dal Colle kill penalties? I feel like it's wasted development if he doesn't.
I'll have you know that Bridgeport is among the world leaders in abandoned buildings, shattered glass, boarded-up windows, wild dogs and gas stations without pumps.Live in Milford, live in Fairfield, live in Norwalk, ffs.
Didn’t anyone on the team talk to him before he found a place???
Don’t tell me, tell Robin. Maybe that will make him want to stay where he is.I'll have you know that Bridgeport is among the world leaders in abandoned buildings, shattered glass, boarded-up windows, wild dogs and gas stations without pumps.
Don’t look now but Bridgeport is 1 point out of a playoff spot.Another big win against baby pens, they have shot at playoffs which is amazing considering how season started, Durandeau another goal for fourth straight game, Wotherspoon played after being called up and played another inspired game, Skarek was pretty good again, to me in right situation Hickey could play in league still he has been really good this year,.
Guy is finished. He'll be in Europe in two yearsDoes Dal Colle kill penalties? I feel like it's wasted development if he doesn't.
Webster Bank ArenaWhere do you guys watch Bridgeport games? I may need to start watching some now.
