After reading the "vision and values," I think MLSE board members are hypocrites.

Burke excelled in each and every one of those "values" - except winning - but let's see if Nonis does any better

Apparently MLSE's board members want "kiss your boss's ass" on there too...

Gonna miss him, we made a mistake......... didnt give him enough time, jesus himself couldnt have turned the ship around either with the abomination that burke inherited

just one more reason to ****ING hate rogers and bell

this. we technically had 2 bonified GMs in our head office and we let the best one go. i agree he should have gotten canned after this season but i wish he had the trade deadline. I think Bell and Rogers didn't want to let him get a chance to redeem himself with making bad trades however he hasn't made a single bad trade for the leafs (trading young talent for aging veterans) much like the JFJ and Quinn era in toronto.

Depends on the termination and exit clauses built into that contract. If Burke were to take a role with the Bruins front office, do you think MLSE would still be paying him to work for a competing organization? Talk about conflict of interest.

How is that a conflict of interest? Regardless of his cheque, he would in no way affiliated with the operations of the Leafs if he took a job elsewhere.

What was wrong with Quinn trading prospects for vets at the time? He was trying to put the team over the top and win the Stanley Cup.

I doubt MLSE will pay him if he takes a job elsewhere, unless it is out of hockey.

His contract likely would be void if he refused to report for work.

Ron Wilson hasn't reported for work in almost a year. He's still getting paid.

In which case he should hang around and be a pain in the ass. Not likely he will find another job at his current salary. :D

Considering his implication that the job they gave him wasn't the job he thought it was, I think he's going to step away completely very soon.
That would be awesome and go along way in showing he is willing to put his pride above cash

If you do your job the way I try to do it, telling the truth, even when the truth is uncomfortable, you're going to upset people.

I want to hear from the board of directors. I can't believe that they have not said anything yet.
