Haven't been following this thread much but he's been pretty much a perfect fit for the team. Additionally, he shows leadership qualities, almost like a young Callahan ...though tougher. The Hayes trade may look like a complete steal depending on how the 1st turns out.

I mentioned Lowry and Hyman after that, slightly different players to him yet I think his effect could be similar if he ends up good enough to play in a similar role as those guys do.
Like I have said before, to me he can be a modern day version of Sergio Mommeso or Marty Lapointe.

I see Barnaby... maybe a little less with dropping the gloves.
I always thought of Mommeson and LaPointe less of middleweights- more on the larger size- but that could just be revisionist history in my head :)

I’d say Lemieux is right there with Momesso and Lapointe. Taller than Lapointe, shorter than Mo but equally as big and strong.

I’d actually like to see a Lemiuex Domi fight I’d be interested in that outcome for sure. But otherwise he’s been a pleasant addition to the character in our locker room/on ice. Quite happy with his performance

I love listening to his interviews. Tells it like it is, none of the "well obviously"'s or the "well you know I'm the team blah blah blah"

He tells it like it is but he also states things in a positive viewpoint from what I have heard. He seems to be a natural leader in the way he speaks

This guy isn't just annoying; he's a little but out of his damn skull.

I like that.
I loved how you could clearly see Quinn tell him “don’t do anything stupid” as he went over the boards at the end of the Boston game.

We’ve needed a guy like this for a long time. I don’t buy the deterrence idea at all, but Lots of players play bigger with someone like this on their side.

The infamous jump in pitch while saying 'Uhhhhh welll' prior to discussing doing:
1- a better job getting the puck deep
2- more bodies in front of the net
3- taking care our own zone first.

"You seemed upset after benching"
"uhh....welllll....of course we have to do a better job getting pucks deep, bodies in front and taking care of our zone"

....but can ya answer the question buddy, or at least come to the zip code? Like this:

"Yea, Coach was just upset we didn't get pucks deep, get enough bodies in front, and take care of our d zone".

Perfect! :thumbu:
