Personally, I would trade Price (untradable), Weber, Petry and Tatar way before Gally and Danault, to keep them as mentors for the young guys.
I really don't understand the stubborness of MB to keep his wrong side of 30s veterans, supposedly to assure transition for the young generation. In fact he keeps them because he secretly hope to make the playoffs (and try to rebuild(ish) at the same time).
Weber never passed the 2nd round comes playoff time and Petry always been on sub par teams, what experience can they pass upon the young ones that Danault and Gallagher can't?
The only thing that habs brass strategy of not commiting to a true rebuild will do, it's to maintain the team in a ''in between'' situation where they're not strong enough to compete for the Stanley cup, and not weak enough to get elite players at the draft.
A situation habs fans have known too much for the last 27 years.
