Will they be the same rosters? If not Canada could be adding Byfield Drysdale and Savoie. You’d think they’d have to have the same rosters though it’d suck to have to go tell a kid who was on the team in December that they weren’t coming this summer.

Why would any federation agree to that? There's no predicting who will/won't be available from the Christmas roster 5-6 months from now. Either make it '02 and younger players are eligible or don't bother.

Great news. I hope it is arranged before the draft. Could be pretty interesting to have it end like a week before the draft.
That probably messes with the pre-draft process. No idea if they'll have a combine this year, but you probably want access to the kids for interviews and potentially visiting your facilities. Plus, the injury risk and its effect on medicals.

I’m all for sending the best of the best 02s and under was just saying it will sure suck for the guys who are going to be cut for them. From a fans point it will make the tournament better

don't see anything on tsn so idunno if its offical now my work schedule is 50-60 hours in summer and nightshift lol so i wont be able to see much of it besides checking the scores lol but more hockey is always good.

If a top prospect gets hurt then usually its no big deal for teams as the player may miss the rest of the season for their CHL/NCAA/Euro team. What if Power tears his ACL and misses a good chunk of the season... I'm sure Buffalo wouldn't be too happy.
What if he breaks his leg in multiple spots in January during the real WJC and never recovers? I'm sure Buffalo wouldnt be happy with that either. What's your point?

Stützle - Reichel - Peterka line. One time please.
Why would they allow players that weren't in tournament when it was canceled to play. My guess only players that were on teams when tournament canceled plus those cut will be allowed to play . Doubt nhl players when tournament started will be allowed.

Would be nice if players like Raty would be allowed

Two things:

1) This seems premature
2) Resuming the tournament is going to turn into a mess. With the tournament barely having started, just start a new tournament

Gotta imagine that it starts from where it left off -- plus the forfeited USA-Swiss game. Rosters should be the same, with the proviso that roster players injured at the time of resumption can be replaced.

Surprising how some naysayers and pessimists can't get behind this.

Would it simply be with the teams that were already assembled?

again, how can you predict the status *availability of those specific 25 players 6-7 months from now?

just reset the rosters from scratch, All '02 born players and younger are eligible.

It's throwing me off big time because teams already have records in the tournament etc right? A couple wins...I have questions and yet at the same time understand this is gonna be a less than perfect scenario because someone is going to inevitably have issues with things.

I'm hoping it's post draft because guys will have rust etc and a bad tournament could potentially effect rankings etc.
