WK down 4-3 to Lethbridge with 5 minutes left. Even if they lose this game they have played much better tonight considering the injuries. A lot more territorial play in this game compared to last night. Really think the team has 2 real good ones in their 16 year old defenceman Pantelas and Bohem. Both have good size and are very mobile. If you add Allard another 16 playing in Saskatchewan U 18 the future of the defence looks very good. Bhatal a big 15 yr old playing U18 in WPG looks like another real good prospect.
I think more accountability. What bothers me is not the missed calls or tough calls that are made I expect. It is flat out indefensible phantom calls that happen way too often for me. For example, the Ward crosscheck yesterday happens 10 times a game called to put Lethbridge down for a 2 minute 5 on 3. That isn't inexperience that stupidity. That is a ref trying to make an impact on the game. Affecting the outcome.
The other day Marques gets a 10 minute misconduct for taunting or whatever they call it, 5 minutes later the Warrior player points and shouts at the Canes bench gets nothing. Again that isn't learning how to ref it is pure incompetence.
Refs that make calls based on their emotions like those examples can take a seat for two weeks or more.
