Interested to see how that goes. Signed him to a B contract so can only play 10 games, which was his idea I’m sure. Wants to play in both leagues, like Wang in Oshawa
I've heard that the SAC contracts are somewhat tough to get out of so I imagine that's part of the B contract as well

All 3 steelheads made team Canada and as I predicted it looks like they’re bringing Ivankovic along as the 3rd goalie for next year

That and the injuries have them severely short handed, down 12 skaters according to the broadcast ( I didn't count myself). Kamaris returned last night but Fibigr is now out. At least they mounted a comeback in the third against the Wolves and got a point.

Tough stretch, hopefully some bodies return soon. I hope to see a vastly fuller line up after the WJC and trade deadline but may be a rocky ride until then.

Reed Gee out with a suspension, isn't that 12 or 13 skaters out now and Ivank?
And then Karmiris gets ejected in the first period…terrible call.
Zebeski gets in a fight in his first game back and I’m screaming at the tv…what are you doing? We can’t afford any more injuries/suspensions.
This is unreal.

More on Alriksson, he's grown into his frame this year. Skates well for such a tall guy, uses his large frame/wingspan to shield the puck well, cuts to the net, hard along the boards. He is checking more this year than last, but a very clean player as well. Most improved points-wise on the Storm this year. Looked great at the Canucks camp.

I'm going to miss seeing him on a line with our shortest player Max, the past couple of goals for Alriksson Max jumped into this arms/other hilarity with the size differential.

Why hasn't he played yet? Will they get him in the lineup tonight or did they let him go home for the holidays? As far as I know he's not part of Team Sweden right?

No he's not part of Team Sweden, I heard that had allowed him to go home for the holidays. Nice gesture by the team but they are really short on bodies right now. Very weak lineup right now with 5 of their top players away for the WJC, and many more injured.

Unfortunately none of their depth forwards have been able to step up. Anyone have any updates on MacDonnell? They've really missed his leadership, grit and goal scoring.

Also not to rag on Gibbons but I really wish they had picked up a solid veteran goalie heading into the season. He's always on his heels swimming in the net, and they've only won twice in his 11 games in net so far.

Good to see MacDonell back. Aiden Lane has impressed me for a mid season signing, 3 pts in 2 games. Also good to see Paolini get his first win, thought he seemed a bit more solid then Gibbons has been looking. Lefebvre has been a good add as well, can't wait to see how the team looks roster wise after the trade deadline and WJC. Hopefully some the injured are going to come back especially Leskovar.

Imagine that bus ride home from Kingston for Gibbons knowing they just traded for Gillespie and you know longer have a spot lol
Ok, but then imagine you have a record of 2 wins in 12 starts and thinking you have earned a spot on the team.

It was the right move. Now if the coach/GM can defeat his nepotism and get rid of #73 this team might have a chance.

Maybe the only real chance would be a third deal with Guelph for Luchanko.
