At first I was mad but now I’m fine with it.

It was clear he was going to walk and it’s better to move him now than to be in a Marner situation where he walks .

Glad we got ahead of it .

okay so who are the big boys slated to go 25? Thats the guy we get at 9. And who’s the big guys slated to go 45. That’s the guy we get at 25

Its a fine return value wise, especially for a guy with a full nmc. People are going to be upset because obviously the roster takes a step back losing Brady, but its very early in the offseason. Clears out 8M in cap and now they have more future assets they can parlay into players. I’ll wait to see what are the other dominoes to fall before i jump off a bridge.

I’d already come to terms with the fact that he wasn’t going to sign another contract here, so maybe that’s why I’m not as emotional about it.

I know you're joking but I'm too fragile right now.

I've had a difficult time feeling excitement for things due to some personal challenges over the past six months, so I always welcome the cornicopia of emotions that comes with these kinds of trades.

It's very refreshing, I haven't felt this about a hockey trade in a long time.

No, we’re upset because we have no idea how to actually use draft picks.

I have to see what Steve does with these picks or what other additions are done to the roster before I judge this.

Not a surprising move with all the noise lately from the fan base (which I thought was ridiculous).
