Brady certainly is not a great skater, he's an OK playmaker and goal scorer and his defensive game although better still needs work. And after the DJ move he didn't play well. But in the last 10 games or so he's been better than ever. He's starting to play a 200 foot game plus the guy is a frigging warrior that will fearlessly lead his team into battle every night. He loves the dirty work, the physical play and will protect and defend all his teammates. There's a reason why ex players and coaches gush about this guy. He's unique.
Will he step up and whoop his brother's ass when he's being a rat against us?

How about someone else steps up?

Guys are running Timmy yet I don't see us ever go after another teams top player. Even last night, that late shot at the end of the 2nd period didn't get a response from anyone.

Where has Kelly been? Kastelic? ZM?

We need those guys to step up, it can't always be Brady.

In the press box. Needed Kubalik to step up in his absence.

Brady is paid to be this unicorn forward who is a better deterrent. If we expect Kelly and Kastelic to step up against a dirt bag team like the panthers, we need our captain to do so as well, especially if we praise him for going into war for this team.

He took on everyone on the ice, multiple times.

It isn't about 1 team either, it is about the wolfpack mindset, all the time. We have played soft this year and the guys who should have jam and should be looking to make energy plays have vanished.

Greig, who is probably our lightest forward, is the only one outside of BT to engage.

He needs to take on his brother. Matthew Tkachuk is the biggest rat on that team and their best player after Barkov. Going after Bennett, Cousins, or Gadjovich is pointless when MTkatchuk does the most scumbag stuff. Going to war against the opposing team means being willing to go against your brother. MTkachuk doesn't care about their family 'liking' his play when he's doing scummy stuff against our team, so why is Brady not willing to rough up his brother?

Have you not seen the Hyundai commercial? He doesn't like riding in the back seat.

Focusing on 1 team and 1 player makes no sense. I can tell MT has gotten under your skin from the antics last game but there are 80 other games to worry about and the team has play the right way to keep all of the leagues pests honest.

100% agree, we have to play hard the right way in every game, which is why we need to make sure that happens when we play a team like Florida. If a single player is capable of getting under our whole roster and leaving us open to get picked a part like Florida did, then its up to our captain, who we all praise as a warrior who everyone will follow into battle to go after the opposing team's biggest threat.

Long ago, in better times we had a man. A Real Man. He fought for us all. But he was alone in his fight. Even a Real Man cannot fight alone. Chris Neil was that man. He needed another of his ilk to help carry the burden. Not a man for this day, but not that day. Not a man for this place, but not that place. A Real Man. Everyday. Everyplace. It is a sad tale. Today the man that was needed is before us. A Young Man. Alas the Real Man is elderly and has long since stepped away from battle. So now the Young Man fights for us. Alone. The Real Man watches and knows the weight that is being carried. One watches, one fights. Both wait for another of thier kind, knowing that the battle cannot be won alone.

Questionable thinking on your part. You want the 40 goal, point a game guy to be the main deterrent on the team and always lead the physical battles??? Is it too much to ask that Batherson, Norris Chabot or even Stutzle get their hands dirty once in a while???

Ya, that's the thing with Kastellic. Not a great player but he's one of the few that we have that will drop the gloves. I keep thinking that Brady will end up with a broken knuckle or hand injury if he keeps having to fight to protect our players. Kastellic will also stand in front of the net, battle opponents and create some havoc. That's another area I think we have a shortage in.

I love that we have a power forward that can score but can we stop overrating Tkachuk? He's never scored 40g in his career, and has been ppg once in his career.

And yes, you want the guy who will "drag" his team into battle be ready to take on the other team's best pest, especially when that pest is as good at hockey as Matthew Tkachuk is. Brady fought some scrub against NYR the other day because he took a run at Stu, but he couldn't even beat down his brother after he laid out DeBrincat last year and ran around our whole roster?

It'd be nice for Bath, Stu ,Chabot, whomever to step up, but they aren't the ones we tout as a unicorn power forward who will go to war for the team. That goes to Tkachuk and its why he makes the salary he does and got the C.

Be nice to have a few others that step up... But I think Brady wants to be that guy. His dad was that guy and he loves it. Not saying its the best thing for the team necessarily but I really think he sees himself as that guy.

I can't help but feel like it ought to be Brady simply because it's his brother. It's his fight imo.

Last time I looked hockey was a team sport. It takes more than one guy to step up in all facets of the game ; from goaltending, on the PK , scoring etc. That includes the physical part of the game. Brady rises to every challenge except one time where he didn't want to fight his brother for obvious reasons. If his teammates can't step up ONE TIME against Matthew T. then that tells me a lot about this roster. And for you to insist that BT do it then you don't know much about winning team sports either.

He’ll have to sit in the back seat, obviously

Exactly.

What if either one of those guys seriously hurt the other? I have zero issue with both brothers staying away from fighting each other.

Team toughness is where it's at and it's a bonus we have Brady as one of the toughest there is.

Seeing our guys turn away as soon as it gets tough is difficult to swallow. We need a few, legit angry guys dropping them based off emotion.
