For someone that seems to think so highly of their own opinion does it ever make you wonder why so many others understand how unique a player Tkachuk is. That realize he is a fantastic captain. That appreciate how he can effect a game very few players are capable of doing anymore? He's still a young player that needs to be coached. You accept that with other players but not him. Do you ever wonder hmmm I'm in the minority here maybe I have a bias? Or na?

They simply don't have the pieces. It takes Tkachuk or Barkov. So they won't do it. Conversation over.

weird game for you to make your point.

Brady embarrassed all of us last night and honestly brought shame to the logo with his antics. wack for any player, let alone the captain. everyone is laughing at him and us and its on all the hockey highlights. the thing is they don't even know that he does it all the time when the game is out of reach like we do.

it is not captain traits to throw temper tantrum like a spoiled kid anytime something doesn't go his way.

also i know that Brady is a unique player he is like 1 of 5 legit power forwards in the game, his shift on the Norris goal was monster.

but how the f*** does it excuse that Brady will skate harder and faster on a f***ing penalty shot than on the backcheck. f***ing wack.

there is a huge problem on this team of the young high paid kids refusing to do their duty in terms defensive work. its our biggest problem, and Brady is the ringleader in this aspect.

Stutzle had a Brady esque defensive game last night and I've never been more disgusted in his play. if he makes it a habit I'll call him out too for unacceptable bullshit.

you think im biased but you're the one who treats brady with kiddie gloves literally never call out his egregious play. why? dude has almost 400 nhl games played now, he signed a 60 mill contract.

its okay to expect more from brady.

All of these things can be true at the same time:

1) Brady Tkachuk is an incredibly unique and valuable player
2) We shouldn't even think about trading him
3) He's been coddled his entire career and has no idea, or isn't willing to do, what it takes to win at the NHL level

It's odd when I see people crowning him as a "great captain" or "great leader". Because he starts a bunch of scrums? Cool.

No doubt: He's a great guy. He's a great teammate.

But at this point, he's far from a great captain or leader. This has been an incredibly disappointing start for him.

For his poor defensive play, for his lack of composure on the ice, for his failure to take accountability in interviews, he deserves every bit of criticism he gets.

Do people treat him with such kid gloves because they're scared he's going to ask for a trade?

*Before anyone jumps on me, he's far from the only one.

I will drop him off to the airport for free and wish him good luck on leading another team to lottery championship for a good half decade

did the goalie make brady skate that fast while looking at the puck? he was basically asking for it. goalie owned him. if brady was paying attention it would have been an easy goal.

there was no do over shot, there was only a loss and a man-child tantrum.

like dozens of games before and its tiring and just embarrassing now.

Just got outsmart by the goal. He knows Brady has no stick work but Brady himself things otherwise
It’s an illegal play, it’s in the rules.

Read the rules dude.
Lmao, because he was skating fast, he was asking for it. Keep making us laugh, thanks, it breaks up the day.

For any violation committed by a goalkeeper during the penalty shot, the Referee shall allow the shot to be completed and if the shot fails, another penalty shot shall be awarded.

How many penalty shots does Brady need? Till he finally scores? He failed twice. Not sure why he was awarded the penalty shot in the first place.

Good on the refs to call it a fair play because it was. That goalie is a legend! Totally owned Brady twice and left him face planted in the board.

Just take the L - don't make it any harder than it is lol

What stupid "over the top" comments. Could Brady handle things better? Yes he could. Would he better at holding his composure if some of the other guys on the team showed a little fire and competitive juice. You bet. Basically he's left on his own to dish it out.

As for "bringing shame" on the team how do you equate his actions last night compared to the Karlsson/Hoffman fiasco or Randy Lee abuse incidents , the Formenton situation or a dozen other things. Or do you conveniently forget the really serious crap to pile on Tkachuk? If last night bothered you so much you must die from embarrassment when people talk about Timmy being the worst diver in the league.

As for being "incredibly disappointing" what do you want from the guy? Would a combination of Sidney Crosby and Scott Stevens be good enough for you? Probably not as that guy would be mildly disappointing for you.

Duh did you look at the picture I posted?
Poke check is not even in the vicinity of the puck.

Take this matter to the NHL my man not me. I see nothing wrong with it. All i see is one man getting absolutely embarrassed

On the ice? I'd like to see a guy who backchecks as hard as he forechecks, and for him to stop being the first man out of the zone as soon as a defenseman touches the puck.

Off the ice? I'd love for him to take some accountability for the team's performance instead of the same old "we know we'll win this group" song and dance after yet another laid egg.

Right now, we have a worse pts% than the Arizona Coyotes. The Coyotes! But don't you dare criticize Brady.

I hope Tkachuk is here for the next 10 years. But he, and his teammates, need to start being serious. They're not a serious team right now.

I'm no fan of DJ Smith. But he's not the only problem here. This team is filled with coddled frat boys who think they'll win just because.

You are the most contrary Senator "fan" on this board and I say fan with great reluctance. You literally hate the captain of the team and a few other players as well and delight in any of their shortcomings. It's obvious you have an agenda and refuse to try and look at things somewhat objectively. At least your takes are easy to dismiss.

Definitely has an agenda, doesn’t understand hockey rules, or the game it seems , how can someone be so wrong and proud about it, all the time.

Who said you can't criticize him? Of course you can. Just like you can criticize Timmy, Josh, Drake Jacob and a bunch of other guys for last night's meltdown and their play at various points this season. But you're the guy who said he was "incredibly disappointing" which is pure hyperbole on your part.

Brutal play. And what's even worse is the NHL has created this aura of invincibility around goalies that automatically forces players to make the conservative choice when there's a 50/50 play around them. You come flying out of your net like that, clip the guy's skate with your massive, heavy stick and then the skater has to be the one to take every precaution possible to avoid contact which means they have to abandon the puck. It just doesn't make sense. Either the goalie has to stay in their crease on a penalty shot or they're fair game if they skate out and any injuries are an assumed responsibility.

You are having a serious meltdown nothing else, just like you boy Brady

Both can't seem to face the music or take any accountability

Is it my fault that Brady talks a big game and have to show very little for it? Is it my fault that he just made a fool out of himself yesterday, and does on a routine bases now?

My takes are bad on calling this teams bad performances and bad leadership? Does that sounds logical to you?

You actually think we are stupid to criticizes a team who is sitting dead last in the standing? What should I do praise them? I don't understand your logic?

And lastly for immature fanboy type comment on me taking delight on their short coming and me hating Brady.

I don't have time to hate a hockey player and have better things to do. I hate to see this Team lose and I will not hold back criticizing players who are contributing in that

I am fan of the Ottawa Senators.. not any individual players especially if they are spoiled brats like Brady and is given the captaincy of this team without him proving it. All has shown so far in his career is that he doesn't deserve it.

Well, he, as an individual, is on pace for fewer points than he had last season, and the team is yet again at the bottom of the conference. On the defensive side, it's as bad as ever.

This was the year there was supposed to be a jump. It was going to be a mature, serious team. No more cheating for points. The focus was going to be on details and wins.

But it's been far from a jump. It's been pond hockey, just like in the past.

That, to me, is incredibly disappointing.

according to that poster yes you can criticize but when you do then he will not let you

He just wants everyone to post what he wants. Like do we stop him from praising Brady? lol

Not sure why he feels the need to control what others are posting here
