I also think he’s capable of another level of production.

1. He’s only 22 and power forwards often take longer to peak because they have to build up their size and strength against established NHL competition.

2. He has yet to play a full season with first line talent.

3. We have a potentially game changing high minutes puck moving defenceman coming into the roster over the next few years who can hopefully help to keep the puck in the other end.

4. He’s shown a lot of creativity and surprising hands as a playmaker that was probably unexpected to some.

Tkachuk has become everything I thought he could be & IMO he will be even better as he matures & adds more muscle on that frame. He's a great player, a great teammate, a great leader & a great captain. There are those that can do one thing better, but few that can do as much as he does the way he does as good as he is at it. He's also exceeded all of the expectations that was expected of him from the naysayers & even most of them are finally starting to see it including those that only care about pts & don't understand the importance of playing a tough game.

Also he has a broken thumb or hand, plus mentioned other injuries, didn’t say what. Sounds like no world championships, he wants to heal.

Hung around after the game last night. There was the "jerseys off our backs" thing they did where fans won jerseys and were given them by the players on the ice. Brady hung around for a loooooong time after the rest of the players were gone, greeting and chatting with all the winners, shaking hands, and waving to the fans that stayed in the stands.

He seems like he's fully committed to being a leader on and off the ice and wants to engage with the community. Was cool to see

Tkachuk has completely changed the morale in the fanbase and around the team. Tkachuk makes being a Sens fan easy and living in Ottawa way cooler then it was before he arrived.

He’s just never on the backfoot. He always rises to the challenge

How can you not absolute love this guy.

I think he could very well end up being our 4th best forward if Stutzle develops as expected and Batherson and Norris continue to light it up, and yet he'll still be worth every penny.

I don't know, 40 in a game seems a bit unrealistic for Brady.

He'd probably have to be the beneficiary of playing with PPG guys like Stutzle and Batherson to ever hit a goal total like that.

Scoring is up big time though. Hitting the 30G mark isn't nearly as hard as it once was.

Maybe his contract ends up being a steal in a few year! I don’t think anyone (or at least the vast majority) would have predicted that, should it materialize.

I’m the end, give what Brady brings nightly, and his camp’s confidence in what he will bring on the scoreboard in the coming years, the contract they arrived on is likely fair.

I’m already happy at 8.2 x 7 after the first year!

He played fantastic this season and worth his contract, but the bar has been set. Any full season with production below 30g, 30a is going to be a disappointment. If we're going to win anything, Brady needs to keep up this production.

Hoping next year is even better!

A pure star player in a very rare role to have a star player.

Love the growth in his game this season. His passing and playmaking has improved, his exit passes are solid, his board battle wins are already legendary, and his pass/attack the net/shooting decision making is great.

Norris Batherson Tkachuk is an awesome NHL first line already.

They were playing Stützle on the top line between 7&19 in the final game last night. Norris in the 2C spot. I wonder if that’s foreshadowing for next year.

Brady and Bath with a playmaking centre could be something. I think the established first line will be together a long time though, so much chemistry.
