Drafting Brady was the best thing that could possibly happen to this franchise at the time that it did.

I couldn't believe he was there for us when MTL passed him. Literally started yelling in the middle of the mall.

What a player.
It's true.

Dahlin and Svetch are great players but in this case intangibles really do come in to play and are vitally important.

The timing was too good - living with Stone and learning from him then just being the Man for Timmy and Norris (apparently for Sanderson now too) to carrying the C with ease and just being one of the most charismatic players in the league.

The team has benefited from all of it and we also see how his game continues to evolve. Perfect guy at the perfect time and I can't wait to see these guys crank it up a notch when they finally get to the playoffs.

Brady is going to be such a beast at 25 it’s going to be amazing. The best part is how funny it will be to see all the « hur durr 8 million for a 4th liner » people’s minds be blown.

He is going to give so many defensemen nightmares. Still amazes me the way he physically dominated Parayko in STL, he was a handful for Ekholm the other night too. He's gotten better at shielding the puck and it's resulting in the puck being on his stick more often. Next step for him will be being more effective with the puck but that should come with the space he creates by shielding off defenders. His vision and and shot remain underrated by those who think he is just a big body too, kid can really snap the puck.

Yup, another thing all Sens fans can rejoice about. Nice to finally start to have nice things to appreciate.

Perfect captain for this group and for this franchise. This rebuild, and the type of team being put together, is exactly what I personally needed as a Sens fan.

It really feels like having Brady now is redemption for all that need for a "Gary Roberts"-like player when the team was stacked with talent but couldn't get past the Leafs (and Roberts).

At least I hope he'll have that effect when this team gets into the playoff picture.

Brady playing at a 66 point pace as opposed to last year's 52 point pace while suffering thru a stretch without 1st line calibre line mates.

I'd say he's doing well
If he stays at that point pace, he's bound to have a few 75+ point seasons, basically a better version of Landeskog!!!

This is what many thought his prime/peak to be, too, including some highly regarded posters on here.

Brady, with a star centre, has 70+ ability easy. He's not even fully filled out yet.

The critical part about his year is playing a large portion of it without first line calibre line mates. Him, Norris and Batherson were dominant up to the injuries starting. And they're all still improving. I think a top line of those 3, 110 goals is possible next year if they're all healthy. If all healthy I think 100 is the floor

Brady Tkachuk is turning into the kind of leader Mark Stone. Keith was made when we lost stone for good reason, but now Brady has taken the mantle.

Brady doesn’t fight because he has to, he fights because he likes it.

I'd still like him to pick his spots a bit better. If he breaks a finger on some plugs face, that really doesn't help the team. As a leader, he has to put what he likes doing behind what's good for the team, though arguably right now what's good for the team is a high draft pick, so maybe he's playing 3d chess while I'm still playing checkers...

Rupp's comments make a lot of sense.

He's the kind of captain this team has always needed, respected & feared. The two that I think he comes the closest to is Mark Messier & Jerome Iginla. Nice to see he is getting such good recognition at such a young age. He's turning into exactly the kind of captain we thought he could Rafi. :thumbu:
