Who are those quotes attributed to?
He was "heavily involved in the process." And "fully supports the change"

I don't think it's being stripped but given.
call it what you like but people are delusional if they think JT had any interest/desire or intension of voluntarily giving up the CThat is not a translation; it is an interpretation. It was already English. You are just saying what you think it means.
What drama? Drama made up in your head. Sounds like Tavares is perfectly fine with itUnnecessary drama.
Dregger in his twitter post.Who are those quotes attributed to?
Why would you think that?call it what you like but people are delusional if they think JT had any interest/desire or intension of voluntarily giving up the C
Actually nothing will beat the Ballard era, that was a horrendous time to be a Maple leaf fan.No it won’t. Nothing will ever be as garbage as the Phaneuf era.
Not really. Besides, they would be more delusional if they just believe something you just made up.call it what you like but people are delusional if they think JT had any interest/desire or intension of voluntarily giving up the C
Ever been the leader of something? People don't give that stuff up so easily. Ask Biden. Personally, I don't care about this change at all because it seems mostly symbolic, but I doubt this was Tavares' idea. Why would you think that?
Tavares has always been about himself so why would anyone actually believe he'd all of a sudden approached the team with a only a year left about giving up the C to Mathews .Why would you think that?
No one has made that claim.Tavares has always been about himself so why would anyone actually believe he'd all of a sudden approached the team with a only a year left about giving up the C to Mathews .
Another huge mistake if AM is captain...he is no Sittler, he cannot even control Mitchy.
If he fails at being captain, his legacy will sink.
I still think Rielly would have been sufficient and been more appropriate for the role than any of the forwards. This team and management can really make you dwell on what ifs.Should have been the case all along.
i know it's hard for Johnny's fan club to accept the team finally had the balls to hold him accountable for his poor play/leadershipNot really. Besides, they would be more delusional if they just believe something you just made up.
so now your agreeing the team stripped JT of the CNo one has made that claim.
The entire team was a failure and that includes Matthews then. Just weird when he's been one of the better players on the team on and off the ice and in the community and they take the C away the last year of his contract. I get the move and expected Matthews to be captain eventually, I just assumed they'd wait until Tavares current deal was done.Why. He was a failure tbh
There is no circumstance under which they will "let him walk". If history is a guide, they will sign him well before the end of the season.I don't see it, unless it is at a big discount and I don't see that.
I just can't see why it makes any sense to sign Marner until after the playoffs, and only then if he earns it with a fantastic playoff that drives the team to at least the Conference Championship. That's it.
He's not taking a discount, so we either let him walk or sign him for a lot that he earns. Signing him for a lot that he hasn't earned just doesn't make sense.
Make him play for his next contract. It's that simple.
there's only two choices
The Ballard era says helloNo it won’t. Nothing will ever be as garbage as the Phaneuf era.
