Are the players good again?

Can never remember if the players Dubas inherited are studs or duds.

What matters is that whatever your opinion was/is, it applies to both sides of the argument.

If they're studs, the failed to build around them. If they're duds, he failed to recognize that and move on.

I can't imagine your time being valuable, when you are trolling the boards constantly lool.

The point was made lol, you were called out on your biased take and view towards Treliving extension on the D not being good for future GM/long-term building of the team.

You ignored that Dubas did this as well with the Barrie deal. You are frequently ignoring and picking and choosing what you care to respond to.

No point bothering with you again, will save us both the trouble of having to respond to each others post and ignore you. That way I am not wasting your time and you are not mine
It just needs attention, a small world nobody with this bizarre inflated sense of self. I'd bet it all it's a joke in the "real world".

Recall the off season when Barrie was brought here. The consensus was we needed a hard nosed, stay at home, D first defenceman. Go back, look, it was a universal number one off season need. Barrie was literally the last thing we needed, particularly with a one off chance for a valuable return with a number 2 center going the other way. I shook my head when we got Barrie, a soft marshmallow, a rover. Kerfoot was whatever. It was a bad trade at the time, I said it, and it was even worse as it turned out. It was that trade when I questioned if Dubas truly knew how to build a team, or was just an analytic geek who thought hockey was moneyball.

Try ignore, I only have four stooges on there. It's lovely. Who cares lol.

Seconded.

Kerfoot I was okay with. Obviously, better than Jankowski.

Barrie was a wtf ... certainly was no Hainsey.

Absolutely, Patches, Tanev, Stolarz and OEL have been fantastic
yup, they have all worked out for now. The term on Tanev and OEL may kill us.
Don't like Benoit so much, and I think Hakanpaa will be a disaster.
The re-signing of Kampf was absolutely brutal.
And the asset management of Lilly was very bad, but perhaps that is on Berube?
Reality is we have a good core, and perhaps good goaltending. Time will tell.
If he acquired a solid 3C and a stud defenceman I would get on the bandwagon.

Hakanpaa is only 1 year so it doesn't really matter what he does.

I wasn't a fan of the Kampfcontract either but the cap is sky rocketing so it doesn't really matter that much, but I wouldn't mind Kampf being traded.

The Lilly contract was a contract I HATED from the MOMENT it was signed.

I think he made a pretty damn good trade, I don't think Lilly is ever going to be any more then he is now.

Slowly but surely Treliving is restocking the cupboard

Alright so admittedly the record is not fantastic yet at only 7-5-2.

But that's still good for 2nd in the division so far, only 3 points out of 1st.

The team is 6th on the PK.

Still 25th on the PP so that's not great but they did get 3 PP goals last night and 4 in the last 2 games so that's a start.

Top 10 in goals against

16th in goals for and we know tha that's going to heat up especially as the PP heats up.

Stolarz, Tanev, OEL, Patches and Lorentz have been fantastic

The additions to the team have been undeniably terrific. A bit of a gamble given some of their injury histories but great additions to the team if they remain healthy. Patches has been a pleasant surprise with his propensity to use his body and finish checks. Stolarz is a stud. Tanev a blocking machine and very solid defensively. OEL has shown a nasty side I didn’t know existed. And Lorentz is a perfect fourth liner. Treliving had a great summer.

The record will be 10-5-2 after the next three games, so that will make things look even better.
