klinberg : yes he was not looking good but the question is did he really played 1 healthy game this season considersting he had been injured in pre-season and similar injury came back and forced him to miss game and maybe end his season/carreer?

Kampf : its pretty easy to say its a bad signing but lets watch the reality, if leafs didn't signed him. who will be #1 c on pk/ or play in PK at C or go to the ice to keep a lead? Tavares? Domi? maybe resigning acciari who signed at 2M but between acciari and kampf, im taking Kampf all night long and its not even close. so to let go Kampf, you need an option to replace him and leafs didn't had that option.

Trading him a week before he becomes a UFA wouldn't ca shrewd move. If he had a year or two left on its contract it would. That is depending on the Leafs draft position of course like if it were between 25-32 but still the original signing wouldn't then become a good move.

I was extremely disappointed with the Boston game as well. I would rather he were serving a suspension for action in that game rather than a healthy scratch, but when the game tightens up I think he will benifit. You are right he will have to learn his role.

This was several years ago but you have to be "good" at hockey to play meaningful minutes for a Cup contending / finalist team. Absurd to think otherwise.

The way we got manhandled by teams last he thought to bring in Reeves to give them some balls.

He wanted Schenn and Dumba, Klinkberg was probably his last option.

He also wanted ORielly but he didn't want to be here I don't think there were alot of C out there so he signed Kampf

We had no centers in the system at that time.

It's not like a gm has ever f***ed up at the trade deadline.

So what you're essentially saying is you don't think any of his dumb mistakes were catastrophes, so you're willing to accept them, and not judge these first horrendous fifteen games for the guys he brought in.

Signing crap players is also ok too so long as easily fixable. You waffle and say you don't think he is a good GM but you don't think he is a bad GM either. To finish the takeaway is that you are looking at the bigger picture and if by year end Treliving fixes this horrible mess he's made for himself a mere fifteen games into the season you will give him a pass.
