Trading Marner is impossible. Rocket science is easier. Not rocket science boys.. flip Marner for a #1 defenceman . Sign Tavares to a cheaper contract. The show goes on.
Fixed. Klingberg has been put on LTIR.feel bad for klinberg but he should have never been signed here
tre gotta fix
I wish they would have traded him and dropped down 13 spots in the draft, that would have been a shrewd moveFixed. Klingberg has been put on LTIR.
LOL. Clearly Tre not as smart as the previous GM. If he was, he would have landed Shanny's job.I wish they would have traded him and dropped down 13 spots in the draft, that would have been a shrewd move
Not yet. Needs to fix the defense stillFixed. Klingberg has been put on LTIR.
Patience. The wheels are in motion. Not yet. Needs to fix the defense still
I like Reeves and I still believe there will be times down the streach, when things tighten up, he will benifit this team. I never thought he would be an every day guy nor was he signed to be one.outside of reaves signing, its not as bad
klinberg : yes he was not looking good but the question is did he really played 1 healthy game this season considersting he had been injured in pre-season and similar injury came back and forced him to miss game and maybe end his season/carreer?
Kampf : its pretty easy to say its a bad signing but lets watch the reality, if leafs didn't signed him. who will be #1 c on pk/ or play in PK at C or go to the ice to keep a lead? Tavares? Domi? maybe resigning acciari who signed at 2M but between acciari and kampf, im taking Kampf all night long and its not even close. so to let go Kampf, you need an option to replace him and leafs didn't had that option.
1st impressiom is not great but not bad...
Trading him a week before he becomes a UFA wouldn't ca shrewd move. If he had a year or two left on its contract it would. That is depending on the Leafs draft position of course like if it were between 25-32 but still the original signing wouldn't then become a good move.I wish they would have traded him and dropped down 13 spots in the draft, that would have been a shrewd move
The problem with Reaves is that he knows what he has to do to benefit this team but outside of the first two games, hasn't done it. He thinks he's good at hockey, reality is that he was never good at hockey. He needs to be physical and defend his teammates. He lost me during the Boston game when he didn't do a damn thing to Marchand after the trip on Lily. If he wants to redeem himself, beat the crap out of Marchand on Dec. 3. I don't care, take the instigator, but show you can do the job you were hired to do by Treliving.I like Reeves and I still believe there will be times down the streach, when things tighten up, he will benifit this team. I was extremely disappointed with the Boston game as well. I would rather he were serving a suspension for action in that game rather than a healthy scratch, but when the game tightens up I think he will benifit. You are right he will have to learn his role. The problem with Reaves is that he knows what he has to do to benefit this team but outside of the first two games, hasn't done it. This! He could have signed Tkachuk to longer term in the first place. Reports at the time were he wanted to sign for 8 years coming out of his ELC.It's also worth noting that Tre put himself in that position by bridging Tkachuk in the first place....
Tkachuk was also an rfa at the time of the trade, he could have been moved to any team.
Do you know he could have signed him long term? Do you know if he wanted to rebuild or not? Word is ownership did not want a rebuildThis! He could have signed Tkachuk to longer term in the first place. Reports at the time were he wanted to sign for 8 years coming out of his ELC.
Yes he extracted decent value out of a guy who wanted out and limited his possible destinations but it was a problem of his own making.
And he would have done a much better job if he he had traded Weegar and Hubs for more futures and just accepted that he needed to rebuild.
All this from 15 games, niceThe bar was set as low as it could go for Treliving.
All he had to do was be better than Dubas. He FAILED. Literally nothing changed in terms of bad signings, overpaying free agents, or unbalanced roster construction.
Now I'm worried this dummy is gonna do even more dumb things.
To try fix the dumb things he's already done. Attempting to make himself look less dumb in the process. All the while hoping we didn't notice how dumb everything he did was in the first place.
He has not proven to have a brain that works.
To his credit Treliving did accomplish one thing Dubas didn't during his tenure here. He united the fan base. Pretty much everyone is unhappy with his performance.
Play stupid games win stupid prizes
Every Leafs GM since Quinn has been crap. The standard just keeps getting lower and lower. What's next?
At least he isn't Milbury?
I guess we don’t know if he wanted to rebuild or not we just know that he didn’t. If he wanted to and ownership didn’t it’s his job to convince them that they needed too so he still failed.Do you know he could have signed him long term? Do you know if he wanted to rebuild or not? Lol, Benoit in the minors, what did you expect, he’s a depth dman, and actually filled in quite well.Reaves is in the press box.
Benoit is in the minors.
Domi has zero goals.
Klingberg is LTIR.
Bertuzzi has been mediocre at best.
So yeah, after fifteen games he's counting on only Domi and Bertuzzi left to turn things around for himself.

The way we got manhandled by teams last he thought to bring in Reeves to give them some balls.Lol, Benoit in the minors, what did you expect, he’s a depth dman, and actually filled in quite well.
Domi and Bert have looked much better lately, imagine giving guys time to gel.
Reaves and Klingberg look bad, but are easily fixable at minimal damage.
All in all, not bad, not good, but let’s see how the rest of the season goes before we rag on the guy
