Kyle Dumbass is definitely the worst GM in Leafs history and one of the worst in the history of the NHL.

Dumbass constantly tries to apply the logic of fantasy hockey and NHL’24 video games to building an NHL team. He’s making the exact same mistakes in Pittsburgh with Karlsson as he did in Toronto with Tavares.

Once the Leafs can start moving out the deadwood that Dumbass accumulated, they can begin building a competent team around Matthews, Marner and Nylander.

Brodie and his $5M boat anchor will be gone this summer.

Thanks to Dumbass the Leafs have ZERO picks in 2025 until the 5th round. Treliving isn’t as stupid as Dumbass to trade away all of his top draft picks three or four years into the future.

Thankfully, Treliving didn’t waste this year’s 1st round pick on a mediocre 3rd line hack who would be gone in the summer.

This is such a fantastic change from the Kyle Dumbass era of wasting a 3rd round pick on Dave The Save Rittich or wasting a 1st and a 4th on an injured Nick Foligno.

Realistically his hands were tied, Dubas left him tight to the cap, not much capital in draft picks to negotiatea better deal. Also the cupboards are bare with prospects, that would have been difficult to trade away.

Until Mathew's Marner and Nylander decide they need to do what ever it take to win in the playoffs We won't win.
I thought last year we should have got Schenn and nothing else.
I wanted to see if the core four could finally get it done win a couple of rounds .
Dubas never understood you can't go all in every year.

Now we are left with nothing.

After the game against Boston treliving should only do a small deal for defense.
