Point totals of: 41 (77 GP), 55 (76 GP), 53 (82 GP), 42 (77 GP), and 61 (77 GP) are pretty fair to be called "Hovering around 40-60". After 15-16 he took the next step forward and has never stepped back down from there.

"Fueled by hatred"??? I don't hate Marchand. I don't like the dirty stuff, but I really like his play outside of that crap. Also aside from the trolling on social media that he's done, he seems like a great guy off the ice.

He's got no individual awards, and as far as I can recall he's never been a finalist for any either. He's a very good player and I place him in The Hall of Very Good. There's nothing wrong with being Very Good. I don't have a vote, so it's not like my opinion affects his legacy or anything lol

The 2016 World Cup was a lame event, and Juniors / U18 don't really move the needle as much as Olympic play. I know this isn't his fault, but that's just how the cookie crumbles. The Olympics adds a lot to legacy.

I agree he's a Very Good player, especially in Boston's pantheon. Just doesn't get to that next level for me. That's just my opinion.
Take a closer look at minutes played per game (probably power play minutes played as well) and you will see a correlation between a rise in that and his point totals.

The best thing about Brad Marchand is if you rearrange the letters in his first name, he becomes Bard Marchand.

Marchand began as a 4th liner in a Claude Julien system. One of the greatest PK scoring threats in history.

Captain of original 6 Bruins. MVP of the Bruins at times as well in recent seasons until Pastrnak began his dominance.

A well earned discussion.

Oh...I get it. You are just sad that Brad isn't on your team...I don't blame you.
Sad? Nah man. I am embarassed people like a rat that licks and kisses players and cheap shots people. When people try to fight him for his deeds his turtles on the ground. He is a better Claude Lemiuex 2.0. Guy is scared to answer the bell for his crap antics.

First...I am no man.

Brad will defend himself and teammates. He is NOT at all afraid to answer any bell. You clearly do not watch him play.

The licking was strange and thankfully Brad no longer does this.

Brad is an excellent captain and is very respected in the locker room. I love him on MY team

You are right. I have seen the Lighning own him many times over the years. If he played two or three decades ago he wouldnt have lasted with his antics.
Good for you

I have seen him up close (ST next to Bs bench) since he came to the Bs He gives 100% every shift. He is respected by his team, coaches and fans.
He is a real leader and excellent player.

He will be in the HOF

He isn't up the the HOF standard of PPG player. He hasn't ever won an mvp, art ross, or scoring title. Unless they got a hof for kissing and licking other players he doesn't belong with the greats. He might make the Bruins HOF.

That is just a silly statement. No sense in chatting with you as you are clueless.

He lacks two of the four requirements. He doesnt have any League mvps, art rosses, or richard trophies. He isn't a ppg player. He would need to get at least 500 goals and 1000 points to be considered. There are so many better players that produce more points from his era and they have the repuation of the rat.
Even in his peak he wasn't in the top 10 producers.
Most points from 1999 to 2019. There are clearly better players that are HOF worthy over him. He never was a top 10 producer in the league for any decade. If JT Miller and Voracek are out producing you , you are not getting into the Hall of Fame. No one thinks those guys belong in the HOF. HE is a skiled player, but rat scum on the ice. HE just isnt a HOF skilled player when compared to the best of his era. Pasta probably makes it if he continues on the same pace for another 5 or more years. I cheer against the Bruins obviously but that guy is a hell of a player.

His jump in pts came when they started giving him time on the PP. The pt jump is almost entirely power play pts.

He's a complete player - probably top 20 in the league in PK minutes over his career and I think he's top 10 all time in short handed pts. Edit- just looked it up and he's 10th all time between Federov and Sundin.

Had he been more one dimensional and deployed so his offensive numbers would be gaudy.
