Love him or hate him, he is elite.
Congrats Brad.
Such an unusual career trajectory. 7 years as a second-liner, several of which he was compared to Gallagher, and then decides to become a top tier player in his 8th season.

There's no hall of fame for Marchand. One-time cup winner. No personal hardware. His discipline record may well be enough to sway a few votes against himCongrats! 1000 points is realistic barring injury and/or early retirement, should be in the HHOF when he's done.
Great milestone for one of the most respected and beloved players in the game
I think your sarcasm detector is bustedI think you are in the wrong thread.

Sundin - No Cup, No hardware ....in the Hall. There's no hall of fame for Marchand. One-time cup winner. No personal hardware. His discipline record may well be enough to sway a few votes against him
1000pts and a World Cup of hockey gold medal, two wJC golds (it’s not the NHL HoF) will always put you in HoF conversationsThere's no hall of fame for Marchand. One-time cup winner. No personal hardware. His discipline record may well be enough to sway a few votes against him

2x First team all pro. He's going in. And he's a name. There's no hall of fame for Marchand. One-time cup winner. No personal hardware. His discipline record may well be enough to sway a few votes against him
I suspect the chances of you being disappointed over this issue in the future are at least a real possibility. There's no hall of fame for Marchand. One-time cup winner. No personal hardware. His discipline record may well be enough to sway a few votes against him
He should be. Total complete player throughout his career. There's no hall of fame for Marchand. One-time cup winner. No personal hardware. His discipline record may well be enough to sway a few votes against him
Maybe he should be in the Bruins hall of Fame then.Other interesting numbers and nearing milestones:
- he‘s at 989 games. At 1000, he‘ll be only the 8th Bruins player to reach that milestone of games played for the franchise.
- he has 391 goals. He‘s 6th overall in Bruins history. At 403, he‘ll be the 4th overall (Neely 395, Middleton 402. The top 3 are Bucyk 545, Esposito 459, and Bergeron 427).
- at 510 assists, he‘s currently 8th for the franchise, and only 6 shy of Wayne Cashman for 7th overall.
- at 901 points, he‘s already 5th overall for the franchise. Reaching 1000 points would mean he’d join the only other 4 players to ever do that while playing for the Bruins: Bourque (1506), Bucyk (1339), Bergeron (1040), Esposito (1012).
- his 278 even strength goals are good for 3rd overall for the franchise.
- with 34 shorthanded goals, he‘s not only 1st overall for the franchise, but 11th overall in the entire history of the league. He‘s two measly SH goals away from the 8th overall spot (Fedorov, 36). Only players to have scored more SH goals than Marchand are Gretzky (73), Messier (63), Yzerman (50), Lemieux (49), Poulin - Goering - Kurri (39), Fedorov (36), Graham - Fleury (35).
- his +290 is good for 5th overall for the franchise.
- Marchand is in the top 10 for the Bruins in: games played, goals, assists, points, goals created, plus/minus, penalties, even strength goals, power play goals, shorthanded goals, shots, hat tricks, total goals on ice for, power play goals on ice for, offensive point shares, and point shares.
A great Bruins that deserves his place in the history of the franchise, and I believe in the HOF too.
I wonder if he signs another contract after the 24-25 season to be honest.Congrats! 1000 points is realistic barring injury and/or early retirement, should be in the HHOF when he's done.
