Bruins in 6. I am reading through the Bruins thread and am surprised at how confident their fans are to already win the Cup. I fully expect Boston to win this series, but the best team in the regular season rarely wins. Also the Bruins have 1 Cup in 50 years against a notorious choking franchise and have choked multiple years (2013, 2019, hell '96 vs Florida) we'll see how well this post ages but it's a long post-season.

Most curious to see what website you've been reading. Bruins fans are hardly planning a parade.

Adversity doesn't mean difficulty... its how youre responding and fighting when thing are against you or doesn't go the way youre hoping for

And no ...playing with old player is not an exemple of adversity...

I give you just 1 exemple... ulmark having a bad 1st start like giving up 5 or 6 goal and boston lose 1st game... and exemple allowing an early goal game and a second one and after 10 mon already trailing 2-0... how he will respond, like the Vezina goalie and making the some key save and giving up a chanxe to comeback or be like last year playoff goalie and just continu to collape? We dont know because everything goes just so well all year long than we dont having any kind of idea how strong mentaly he is...
Bud, someone just posted the actual definition of adversity, not to mention you have a mini computer in your hand so…
‘Difficult’ is literally the first word in the written definition of adversity. The bruins faced adversity almost every game, but their collective resilience towards their opponents trying to knock them off with their best performances game after game for an entire season was so dominant and overwhelming it gave the appearance of them not having faced any adversity, that’s how good they are! But if you want hang your hat on that fallacy as a reason they’ll lose, then good luck with that, but I’d be prepared to be disappointed in your analysis. You should probably dig up some additional examples, the one you gave may be technically possible, but is pretty out of touch with the results of the last 75+ games of usable data.

Pastrnak and McAvoy have been fantastic in post season hockey.

Pasta has 74 points in 70 playoff games.
Yea but those were an adverse free 74 points, or have you missed the newly created adversity%/60 metric that’s all the rage now? Apparently this the only true indicator of playoff success and all the experts are using it.
Step it up Sheppy, get with the program!

Yeah not my fault if people who dont understand than facing difficulties and adversity are not synonyms, doesn't mean the same thing...its not an opinion, its whats word meaning...you can face difficulties without facing adversity but you cant facing adversity without any difficulties

You can not be agree but i didn't created anything of it

NOUN
difficulties; misfortune:

"resilience in the face of adversity" · "she overcame many adversities"

Come on man, it’s getting embarrassing for you in here. Take the life preserver and live to fight another day.

I must say that in all these Playoff Series threads, the civil nature of things is impressive.

What is the over under on the amount of infractions handed out on Monday (I think that’s Day One)?

Or am I wrong? Will these threads all turn bitter and nasty on Sunday?

For now though, you Florida fans are a nice lot.

I remember saying the same thing early in the Carolina series. It just takes a couple folks to ruin it for everyone.

Could Tkachuck vs Marchand be an epic matchup?

Anyone has any idea if coaches will seek or avoid their respective lines being on at the same time?

I think sometimes that line might get that assignment, sure. They probably don't want Pasta on vs him. Coyle's line will also get them a lot.

Is this thread on some other website? Because no Bruins thread here has many confident fans. There's a huge difference between "hopeful" and "confident". I don't see many Bruins fans super confident.

"Bruins in 3"
"should be an easy win"
This is total cherry picking. The VAST majority of Bruins fans are saying it's a troublesome matchup, concerned about the age/health of our more important players, being unsure, etc. And none of the ones you quote have anything to do about the cup - just about this series. Your assertion is completely wrong, based on you cherry picking a couple of quotes and then using them out of context.

One thing that should be talked about more if it was any other team

Ullmark career playoff stats last year on the Bruins .860sv% 4.16GAA

What are the chances this guy lets down the team? Similar to how Freddy Andersen was a monster for us until it mattered.

I know people will say Swaymen is there, but let's be honest he is half the goalie Ullmark has been. It might be enough, but will Boston really sit their Vezina winning goalie after a bad game with their season on the line? What if he craps the bed against Panthers offense?
Sway half the goalie Ullmark is? Is that why he's 4th in the entire league in GAA? That's just a dumb take.

Sure, but Bruins fans are lying if they say they are equally comfortable with either goalie. Ullmark is THE guy for them. He is going to start every playoff game unless he is hurt. He's the guy they've played in all the big moments.

And Swayman's playoff stats are pretty mid as well
Tell that you've never actually talked to a Bruins fan...

This is gonna be a fun series. Florida has some players that can seriously get under your skin.

Tkachuk, Lomberg, Gudas, Horqvist. Is Sam Bennett playing or still hurt?

FLA in 6. Not impressed with bos.
Your rent check of “0.00$” is due at the end of the month. Please make your check out to Bradley Marchand.

Talk about obsessed. What happened to the dark days ahead for the Bruins you were predicting in the off-season? Breaking all time records is quite the opposite, no?

Lol.

Yup. They're definitely annoying to play against. If the refs let them play instead of favoring BOS like they usually do in the playoffs, fla will keep this series close. Win or lose boston is coming out of this series bruised.

Struggling to see how Florida could win a game here.

Montour is going to be picked apart.

I think there’s going to be one game where everything will click for the Panthers and they’ll get away with that game.

Boston in 5.

I’m expecting relatively close games, but Boston will be too much to handle for the cats.
