I'm not particularly worried about the ages of Carter or Kopitar. They don't play a style of game that is as hard on their bodies as other styles. Like Brown.

Gaborik's game is dependent on speed, which has regressed.

Quick's style could be taxing on him. But hopefully the surgery helped.

I am mostly concerned with Doughty. His game is dependent on his hockey IQ, and he still lacks a certain discipline. He's the cornerstone of the defense, though.

And no, I'm not advocating trading Doughty, Quick, or any core player.

Or do you have a deeper point that isn't so blatantly obvious before you posted those graphs? Saying "this" "or this" doesn't do much other than sound condescending.

As far as the graph representing goalies, take a critical eye at it, around half are at or around 0 drop off. The others skew the curve. And it only includes 12 goalies, so it's a hell of a small sample size. Do we need a new goalie, now? Ah, ****, Chaz thinks we need a new goalie, now!

I'm just glad Dean was able to lock up Kopitar for his prime years with that last contract.

If it wasn't blatantly obvious, maybe Chaz would be kind enough to draw a picture.

Not after this season. Both of them have been putrid defensively. Muzzin is a complete mess, flopping all over the ice trying to correct his awful decision making, I can't remember the last time one of his shots made it all the way to the goalies crest. Muzzin hasn't been a plus player in 7 games. That's with Quick and Bishop back so not sure what excuse can be made.
