Honestly guys,

Had more fun watching a Tavares, Marner less team than I have with them in, in a long time.

I think we can go without 2 x 11mil players in the lineup, whomever that may be. And then spread that money around. Upgrade the D, bottom 6, another top 6 etc.

Thought the guys played really really well tonight. And quote a simple game. Much less drop passing. Much less turning back on our zone. Much more cycling time. We were closer to the oppositions net all night.

These guys do have it in them. Exciting times.
That would be the proper way to build an entertaining and decent team but you just know management will triple down in the defectiv model that hasn’t done squat in 7 years.

Binnington was amazing.
Beside the first goal, the 2nd and 3rd goals were pretty fluky.
TJ looks better as LD. Keefe needs to put him there instead of RD
McCabe’s face just attracts sticks.
Bert, Domi and Robbie should be a line as the goals will come for them.
Steeves and Holmberg plays a nice hard style with speed.
McMann got the hat trick but he worked his butt off forechecking and trying to make something happen.
Knies also played a pretty good game and more engaged than the past week or so.

Maybe it is the next man mentality or just the fact that having more speed and forechecking allows the defense to have less pressure.

This is by far the best game this season and I truly hope this is Game One of the boys starting to dominate.

Huge Win!

Loved the response to all the adversity tonight. Just a dominant performance. BTW, Brodie looked good, and he was on the left side. Maybe time to leave him there.

If he’s slowing down playing his strong side might give him the extra split second to make a play.

This was the forwards coming back and down low, pressuring the other team. It makes things infinitely easier for the D.
Helps for sure but the D played a structure unseen so far this season.

I think it has more to do with replacing two 11mil players than anything.
It is true that you can replace them with 3-4 even 5 players but those need to be good players too.
For example, if they are JT Miller, Giroux, Parayko and Soucy. That’s a good trade off but it is 4 Berts, no thanks.

Why not, because it doesn’t have an 11 million dollar forward on it, because everyone knows you must have 4 of those to win
Agree 100%.

Or, imagine two stud D for $10M each. And keeping Morgan. It's do-able. F*** you, Shanny.

I agree you have to replace them with decent players and those players have to be committed and hard working, something we are lacking right now.
however some are paralyzed with fear claiming we would automatically be worse if we got rid of one or two of them

Great thought, but it’s just a pipe dream unfortunately
