This is one where the eye test comes in handy.
I agree that advanced stats aren't everything but they're also undeniable metrics in play. And over the last three years Byram has outpaced Seider in almost every 5v5 advanced stat.
Point production as well. To me the one real shocking statistic is that Seider has only 5 goals over 188 games in his three NHL seasons at 5v5. Seider is scoring at a pace of .24% PPG, while Byram is at .36% PPG.
So not only is Byram outplaying Seider, he's outproducing him as well. Health and power play time are the only things holding Bryam down IMO.
