If he plays the number of games a back up typically plays, I'm not sure how many teams in this league was pay him starter money and give him that starting role after 1 year.

Ya I’m not worried about that scenario but he will earn a good raise. The Blues currently aren’t poised to have a lot of cap space next year.

It would have been nice to get this level of play for 1 million per season for a few years
