I know we really liked Kravtsov, but I have a hunch that if we had a choice, we’d have taken Hughes

A win at this point in the season, whether we were dominant or dominated, isn't something to get excited about.
Still, I feel good for the guys. It means something to them. Seeing the emotion in guys like Zibs, Buch, Kreider, Vesey, Brady, Georgiev, etc., it's a good feeling. I like those guys and feel bad seeing the mental toll start to show as the losing piles up.
So, yeah, I feel good after watching that. I know we were generally crap and it may hurt us in the long run, but the fan in me, the guy who still loves the guys wearing the sweater, I still enjoy it.

Well John has at many shining moments at least. Been to countless super bowls won 3 (two as a player) and built one of the best defenses in football after getting embarrassed by Seattle. Hard to criticize that when pretty much 90 percent of the nfl will never sniff that kind of success. Yeah I’m biased he’s my favorite player growing up and thus became a broncos fan since the mid to late 80’s

I think last year they knew they wanted Kravtsov.
In previous years they definitely didn’t come away with the guys they really wanted.
It’ll be interesting to see how this draft looks. The only name I’ve heard for them is Cozens, but I don’t know where he might be on their list.
For all we know they could love a kid like Zegras and have him fourth. They could love Boldy. Or they could be chewing their nails wondering if they can come away with Cozens.
When I think of what scenarios I’d like to avoid, it’s more 2016 and 2017 than 2018.
It’s been coming like the train from hell. I saw it as soon as they benched the whole team months ago. Unless a miracle happens it looks like they will fall to 2 . Hope everyone is happy the the useless red wings keep winning and give the devils a better spot

If they really love Boldy or Zegras, I feel like they still have a real good chance at that.
If they really love Cozens, I'm not sure they ever had a chance at that. I have him going 3rd right now.
We better hope Anaheim wins tonight . Devils broadcast putting up how the devils lottery odds getting better and better after getting blasted 4-0

I'll never forget the commentary that night. It went something like this:
1: Holtby's parents must be loving seeing their son play so much hockey.
2: I'd say everyone's happy unless you're Stu Bickel's parents.
No point in getting mad. It'd be nice to have a top-3 pick, but what can you do? Me getting pissed off on a Friday night isn't changing anything either way, other than set my weekend to start on a crappy note.
