Lol! I legit think this author has no idea Kadri has been suspended 6 times for injuring opponents. He’s a hero!
Social media is a cesspool of ignorance, hate, and arrogance.

Just wait for Kadri to hurt someone else. The “Kadri is a hero and a victim“ narrative will all unravel.

BTW, I don’t know any serious hockey fans who read USA Today. This is typical hyping of drama/controversy by the opinion writer to get eyeballs. He obviously hasn’t dug thoroughly into Kadri or Perron. He’s just knee jerk emoting and jumping on the Avs bandwagon because their odds to win are high. Some people are like that. No substance, just emotion and chest pumping.

Husso could’ve played better but I think he deserves a lot of credit for not making the 1st worse than what it was.
Thats like a girl showing up 15mins late to a date and saying well at least she was not 1 hour late.

that 1st goal was soft swiss cheese. and bortuzzo saved his bacon in OT as that puck was heading to the empty part of the net before he swatted it down.

husso HAS to be better. he just has to.

Husso has to be better, yes, but he also made some saves that he had no business making.

His rebound control scares me but if he can be competent with Thomas and Tarasenko producing the Blues should be OK. I’m not sold on Kuemper.

well we need the officiating to stop playing the score too. look at the bullshit they called when avs were up 2-0 and shit meanwhile once again blues dont sniff a f***ing PP in the 3rd when the score is close.

Keumper isnt good and its all about getting pucks on net. i know the blues like to shoot high % shit but those areas of the ice are hard to get to vs refalanche. you gotta shoot for rebounds and crash the net vs this guy. he flat out sucks as we saw tonight. That Bozak goal was kitten soft on him.

The only consistently stellar goalie in these playoffs is Vasi. The rest are a dice roll.

The last goal was really the only that I thought was bad from Kuemper.

His rebound control was also Fleury-esque.

Penalties or not, Tarasenko and Thomas need to play like they did tonight for Blues to win.

Binnington’s been good in every start.

Husso hasn’t played well enough, but he has something to build confidence off with this won. Playing at home with good vibes, I think we’ll see his better stuff next game.

Odds favor the Avs in 6, but if we can play our best game of the season we can get it to game 7 and anything goes.

The Blues have won one previous series when winning games 2, 5, 6, 7 and Yzerman was on the other end of it

Edit – also a series where Bob Probert sucker punched Blues goalie Vincent Riendeau in the face during play with the puck at the other end.

As a result, Brian Sutter was grilled and smeared by media about the comments of several fans after the incident, everyone remembers that. As a result of these comments, the national story was about the morally degenerate Blues and Detroit fans rallied behind the heroic Probert and his smuggled cocaine. They stood-with-naz!s.

Hoping for a Cardinals loss on Friday. Blues have only won when the Cardinals have lost or had the night off.

Most pressing problem facing the Blues IMO: Kadri's still on the ice, and if things look dire enough for the Avs he will act with impunity. Blues top talent needs to keep their heads on a swivel.

I thought tonight was his best game since the shutout against Minnesota though. He got some bad puck luck on the deflection off Ledy's stick and the puck hitting Parayko on the PK after he made the save/MacKinnon fanned the shot. But overall he made some key saves the Blues needed and held the Avs to 3 goals the majority of the game.

If he can put together a couple more games like tonight at least or better, and the team in front of him puts in the work for a full 60 minute effort like they did in the 3rd period, then I like our chances.

If we play a game where shots are 20-3, 35-6 through 1 and 2 periods and spend all the time in the defensive end that's not a winning formula no matter who is in net.
