Please list these 10.

Trout
Harper
Goldy
Stanton
Kershaw
Arenado
Altuve
King Felix
Cutch
Marte (Maybe)
Donaldson
Miggy
Scherzer
Keuchel
Rizzo
Bryant
Todd Frazier (rather Tulo but its close)

I could keep going. Tulo is a top 30 player BUT he has major health issues. He will play 120 games a year prob at most every year.

In no order and off the top of my head

Trout
Kershaw
Cabrera
Harper
Posey
Goldschmidt
McCutchen
Posey
Hernandez
Price
Stanton

I easily take Tulowitzki over both of those Felix and Price.

Elite upper echelon position players > Elite pitchers.

LOLLLLL are you for real? this is all i ever see you post when people disagree with you. Longshot has a valid point and all you can say is "You dont know who Tulo is"? Really man? Im pretty sure anyone who has watched 10 baseball games in their life knows who Tulo is. The Jays have a garbage rotation. You cannot win games 15 to 3 in the playoffs against teams with good pitching. You are not feasting on guys at the back of the rotation on bad teams in the playoffs. Teams with good pitching will shut you down, period. You need an ace, atleast one above average arm, and 2 pen guys. Thats 4 pitchers, but AA goes out and gets a bat? Amazing.

I love Tulo too. He is awesome. One of the best players in the game, prob the best shortstop atleast right now until Correa gets a few years under his belt. But you need pitching, not hitting.

Lol who are you? I don't think ur replying to the person you think your are replying too. I understand that ss isn't a need but a liability at ss is a huge need for us, we almost had to play Goins at ss just so we don't ruin any games.

Pitching is a huge need though, I will agree, imo if we were going to trade Hoffman cueto and Chapman should have been the targets but reyes has 8 errors in july alone....

Am I the only one who is getting increasingly annoyed with Bautista for always arguing balls and strikes. When was the last time Donaldson did that? Or Martin, although he was annoyed at Joice (I think) this past series.

Bautista had to step in between JD and the home plate umpire this weekend in Seatte at one point.

Why do people get annoyed? Bautista is an emotional player. He hits 35+ bombs with a 900OPS and by all accounts is respected off the field around the league (except by maybe Adam Jones)

Who cares how he treats the umpires as long as it doesn't hurt the team. Any character Bologny is completely unfounded

Todd Frazier? Are you serious? This guy had a sub .800 OPS the past 2 seasons.
Altuve? This guy is currently sporting a .775 OPS and only has one elite season.

Kuechel? This guy has no track record.
Rizzo? Really good player but offers nowhere near the defensive value.
Marte? This must be a bad joke.

I honestly dont think some people understand how elite Tulo has been the past 5 years.

I cant believe some of the names you just included.

So is Tulo like a top 3 SS in the league? Was this a good trade for us? I read good things about him but don't know to much about him. I also read that he's locked in for 5 more years so we didn't have to give up to much to make up for the difference between Reyes (who we all thought was elite) and Tulo.

My comparison for hockey (Not for a specific team) would be getting Crosby for Eichel, Spezza, and a B prospect.

Tulo hasn't been as good this season but previous years Tulo is an elite 1st baseman caliber bat who plays SS and is a gold glove defender there.

Health has held him back but otherwise he is a top 5-10 player in the league if he plays like his old self.

No, they are not. Pitchers control an entire game, hitters have a shot 4 times per game. Elite pitchers win world series, or did you forget about what happened last year?

Kris Bryant, the unproven rookie?

I guess actually showing year after year that your're elite means nothing?

Trout, Harper, Donaldson, Goldschmidt, Machado, McCuthchen, Cabrera, Bryant, Stanton and Posey. Those are every day players. I didn't even include pitchers.

Sorry, but this year Tulo doesn't even rank in the top 30 in WAR.

http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.as...am=0&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0&sort=21,d

He asked for 10 players when healthy though, so have to take into account games played IMO.

I won't defend his production this year, but dude put up 5.3 WAR in 91 games last year and 5.3 WAR in 126 games the year before.

That kind of pace would have had him in first for WAR last season and second the year before.

I know I'm talking "what ifs", but he did play a pretty significant sample in both seasons to suggest both would have been a real possibility.

This is silly.

Position players effect your outcome every single day.

Elite pitchers can only effect the outcome once every 5 days.

All you have to do is go look at the top 5 WAR players from last season.

Todd Frazier and Starlin Marte :laugh:

Starling. But yes, he is a 5 tool player. Frazier is a 35 homerun a year guy. He sucks? He also can steal 20 bags a year and drive in 100 runs. I take both of them over Tulo. He has health issues and isnt what he used to be. Still a top player though.

You should be laughing at your idea of you thinking hitters > Pitchers. That is embarassing

How can someone even justify Bryant?

This guy has not even played a full 1 SEASON!

.254 AVG with barely over .800 OPS

The question was 10 players you'd take over a healthy Tulo

Dude just stop.

Todd Frazier, ya the guy who last season has a sub . 800 OPS and .721 the season before.

Hasnt even put up a 140+ game elite season in his career.
