Q: How does a rested team score only 1 goals against some garbage nobody goalie and an inferior team that played last night?

A: coaching staff is what really matters.

I love how us playing well is a major shock in the analytics community. Encouraging stuff.
Well, these are also the same people that said we were going to be the worst team in NHL history based on an 8 game sample size at the beginning of the year. There's always this type of reactionary nonsense, but it's part of how they stay engaged with their followers.

I mean you can't bench Strome, he is conceivably your most valuable asset. You want to move him for something big at the TDL, you don't decide to start benching him for being lazy.
If DQ doesnt call him out in some fashion then he is just as much of a p***y as the rest of this lazy team that went through the motions tonight.

Can they finally send down Kakko to AHL? he is not really learning hockey or improving or learning defense or hitting he is just wasting time and losing confidence

Overreactions aside, I guess everyone is going to ignore them playing with really good structure basically all night. They made two mistakes and CBJ made them pay for it twice.

That's the way it goes sometimes.

Overreactions are a staple of this board. It happens after every single loss. Tough loss and really lousy game by Strome but not that bad of a game.

I know some try saying my analysis of Bozo is wrong because look how many points he’s getting now, but as someone who watches most Canucks games and goes to about 8 per year; Strome is an awesome comparison for him. Riding the coattails of a superstar and racking up points but making bonehead decisions, offensive zone penalties, bad changes, etc. I really hope we move Strome at the deadline

Not one PP.. That tells you the team didn't work hard enough.
f*** DQ..

Quinn runs a meritocracy until Strome does something stupid

Which is every game
Yup.

It's a meritocracy for everyone on this roster except for Strome and Howden.

Strome man, I'm not sure what he's done to earn the all situations trust that Quinn has in him. He's a very lazy player outside of the offensive zone. Even in the offensive zone he's often forcing extra passes instead of making the straight play. He's noticeably lazy in the D zone and I've been complaining about his lazy back checking ever since he's been here but it's been worse this year since he's been playing with Panarin and putting up points apparently he thinks he doesn't have to back check hard. Which makes no sense btw bc Panarin back checks harder than anyone else so take a cue from him. Strome's lazy back checking and lazy changes have been far too prominent for a guy used as an all situations trusted center. It's a joke.

Sure I have no problem with some alternate means of holding him accountable, but I don't think benching him is good for the team overall. He needs to keep playing and keep producing to keep that value up.

Quinn was hyping the game as "big as any game we've played,' or something along those lines.

All the more reason to fire the idiot. When the coach calls this the biggest game of the year and the team drops a bronzed turd that tells you something.

This is a bad hockey team with an inept coaching staff. They cant get the loser point ever. And thing is, with Zib and Panarin, they would be successful in 3-on-3.

DQ wont make it through next season. He is incapable of getting his team to play smart structured tough hockey

Assuming the idiots trade him and don't sign him to a terrible contract.
