I said this previously, if they hold this up and make the playoffs he will win the Jack Adams (just based on how the award is voted). And then he won’t have his contract renewed as the organization cannot afford to let Burnette walk.

Lindy will retire and move to a front office job somewhere at the end of this season is my hunch. And if the team has a stellar season I think it only more likely.

Just try to survive the next four games. I would start VV versus to Vancouver to try to make sure they can secure results. Then sacrifice Blackwood vs either Edmonton or Calgary.

Fitz himself said they had a substantial offer that required the owners sign off. He was also very vocal that he wanted to sign him to the max term allowed.

Funny enough, the last start we gave to #35 before waiving him (not his last start as a Devil, but last before he was first sent to the AHL) was @ Edmonton back in 2019. I think we were shutout 4-0 and it wasn't his fault because of McDavid and Draisaitl.

And yes she used to work with the Devils and likely still has some connections here. We don't know if it was 8 for 6.5 or 8 for 8 though, which would make a big difference but irrelevant at this point since it's going in the 8-10 or 8-11 range if Bratt has a 90+ point season.

I think that was the stretch where Hedberg was mostly in net because Marty had a pinched nerve and he was absolutely killing us while hardly facing any shots. We were almost always playing from behind back then.

Our offense/shots for wasn't nearly as impressive during that time period though. That was the first post-Parise season and the last one of Kovalchuk and he wasn't particularly great when he did play. 36-37 year old Patrik Elias was by far our best player.

David Clarkson started that season off finishing where he left off the year before, but quickly died out and didn't produce a whole lot of anything down the stretch.
