somewhere flat
The day before this storm the grass in my backyard had finally made an appearance ( a small 10 ft X 6 ft patch, but grass none the less ) ... now it looks like it did back in February. I have a bird bath in my yard that was fully exposed and it's 3 feet tall... today, it's completely under snow, again.

So, anyone who thinks we didn't get much snow is more than welcome to come shovel it.
I think the reactions are that it wasn't snowmageddon, as promised. We have a pool in the backyard. This year was the first year in 15 that we couldn't even tell it was there. Usually we can see the outline, even if the snow gets deep but nope. We could see the pool deck almost completely two days ago. Now we're back to middle of winter, yeah, you can see the outline but the pool is completely buried again. So you're right, there's more than ample snow that has fallen over the past couple of days.

Haven't shoveled yet today, waiting til this is over. Yesterday did shovel during the lull, some quality heart attack snow for sure.

Was thinking golf before end of April maybe, now nope. Not so bad for me as I have to travel to Hamilton last week of April anyway.

Depend on the circumstances, no?

Copp was treated poorly by the Jets management and yet was the consummate team player until the end. I will follow his career with interest and always be a big fan, as per my farewell comments below. The circumstances were completely different with, eg, Trouba and Laine.
Treated poorly by Jets management with a $20 M five year offer, poor Andrew how could he live on that!:sarcasm:

And it's not just the snow....

Right now it's -7 ( -18 windchill )

Friday low -11 ( record low is -14.2 in 2000 )
Saturday low -17 ( record low is -12 in 1997 )

And for records, 1997 from April 09 (60cm) to April 19 (42cm), was the record for most snow on the ground.

For sure, I was kidding with the "the late" and being dead to me. Liked Andrew and actually believe there was a time he wanted to be here long term.

Is it wrong I have one foot of snow on my driveway and still am not even shovelling it?

It'll all melt by Saturday anyway. And I am doing my work at home.

This has a very bad flood written all over it. I'm talking potentially the worst since 1997.

TBH I'm a bit disappointed in the storm, they made it seem much worse then it turned out to be IMO. I was expecting 97 type of snow levels or maybe 86.

86 was a beauty. I remember walking up the snowbanks onto the school roof. 97 I remember only snowmobilies driving around, living downtown. This is just a nuissance storm. Though if it persists flooding will become an issue. And golf season is looking more like mid May now.

We're supposed to have below 0 temperatures and little sun for the next couple of days. I don't think it'll be gone by Saturday. Might take a week-ish.

Its supposed to stay at or below zero for most of next week too, with a bit more snow possibly coming.

Hopefully we get some Sun throughout next week to slowly melt some of the snow, before next Friday’s anticipated high of 8 in the sunshine. That would be a concerning melt if it’s still all here.

Even if this storm didn’t meet the hype, this has been the winter from hell and it just won’t go away.

Agreed. I'm fine with the storm not being as bad as the worst case scenario! lol...enough with this shit lets get on with Spring and Summer. I've got a camp spot booked in July and I better get some frikkin GREAT weather!

Sure we’ll just forget about the fact he was welded to the offensive black hole for years in a checking role, or that we took him to an arbitration hearing, or that we always prioritized other vets ahead of him. We’ll go with the phantom offer he allegedly passed on. Yea I have no idea why the red headed step child wanted to move on? :neener:

Well, looking at what happened in North Dakota, if it travelled a little farther north, I think it would have been at the '97/'86 level.
