Make what you think a fair offer for Gibson is without Blackwood in it. Then put Blackwood in it. There you go, that's a fair offer.
***sorry quoted you thinking you replied to me so please disregard that part, but for the sake of the thread, my point still stands in my comment, just not directed at you***
I’m not a fan of trading Gibson while his value is so low. So, I’m not making any offers. Many offers that Ducks fans will put out there, will not be received well at this stage because of his poor stats. However, at the same time, it should be pretty telling that there are several Ducks fans who have no issue keeping him at his salary and years left on his contract. Despite his poor numbers, us Ducks fans know he’s a lot better than his stats will show. He’s the exact reason why the Ducks only have 1 top 5 pick in the past few years. Without him, they likely would’ve been at the bottom and not just near the bottom. There’s no ‘fair’ deal to be had right now. And the fact that people still propose trades for him from other teams, shows that there are many non Ducks fans who also believe he’s still much better than his stats show. Otherwise, who would want a player at that salary with that much term remaining?
