How about Rathbone straight up? My fellow Canucks fans will hate me for this.

Not as high on Rathbone as Canucks fans seem to be. He’s good but I feel like we could get better offers for Murphy. Hawks don’t really have much reason to trade Murphy so it’d have to be something really good coming back. 1st and a good prospect would be the likely asking price. Maybe a 2nd depending on the prospect.

Both players are former 1st rd picks who seem like they would welcome playing elsewhere...

This one I would do. I like Brannstrom and think he could thrive in the right system (ideally after Colliton gets fired). I also think Strome could do well with Ottawa as long as they don’t play him 4th line with crap linemates. Play him in a top-6 role and he can produce.
